Did you ask about hooking up to the wall unit once Lynn is in a room? You need to ask.
I'm about done with asking for anything, I'm moving on to just doing it!

Ross is Lyn goin in tomorrow or early Tuesday morning?

MEMO FROM GOD

To: ROSS
Date: TODAY
From: THE BOSS
Subject: YOURSELF
Reference: LIFE

I am God. THIS WEEK I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help.

If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.

The hospital is to call us today with the time to report to the same day surgery unit tomorrow morning. All I know right now is that it's happening in the AM some time, as the surgeon will only do nephrectomies early mornings.

that's a good thing. The surgeon is fresh and so are you. Better to get it done early so you can settle down before nightfall.

You will probably hear from everybody today so you best check in often.

Best wishes, Lynn and Ross - you will be in our prayers and we look forward to all good news!

Report to sameday surgery unit at 5:30am for a 7:30am surgery. The clock is running, time to stuff this woman full o food and drink. She turns into a pumpkin at Midnight. ;)

Isn't it amazing that, even if you usually don't EVER eat or drink after midnight, when you can't, you get the worst cravings?

I hate it!!

I hate it!!

Knowing that I can't eat is enough to get me down! Especially when it happens before an operation. Tell Lynn to eat well but not overdo it so athat she doesn't end up feeling sick. I'm thinking of the two of you nonstop!

She eats like a bird as it is. Getting her to eat good is something that doesn't happen often. We know what this is like. To her, it's all new and scary.

More prayers from me tonight...Try to get some sleep...The hospital is Aultman? Near you? Please try to post as soon as she is out of surgery and you are back home...We will worry until then. Love, Bonnie

Quickie Update: Just stopped home to get more O2, let the cat out, get the mail and take a short nap, then go back.

Surgery is over. The surgeon spared the kidney and performed the repair instead. Apparently, there was a group of blood vessels stangling part of the renal pelvis. He untangled and relocated them, then placed a new stent to open the blockage. He said she only has 25 to 30% of the kidney functioning and that it will not get better, but it is functioning and would rather leave it be. At this time, the blockage is no more, but were awaiting the results of what has been done to see how well it works. Her blood platelet count is high for some reason and he wants to bring a Hematologist in to check on that. She should be in the hospital for 5 to 7 days and then out of work for 6 weeks.

For those of you expecting a phone call from me----Please be patient. I'm exhausted and may not get those calls made this evening. I've got to crash for an hour or two now and get back up there.

Thank you for all of your prayers, cards, and help during this very stressful time for the both of us.

Love,
Ross and Lyn

Thanks for the update. We have been on pins & needles. Give my best to Lynn, take care of yourself and come back when you have rested.

Glad to hear the kidney was saved even if not 100%. At least she didn't lose a body part.

Take care & hugs coming your way.

Glad to hear surgery is over and a repair sounds much better than a removal.
Give Lyn our love. Take care of yourself. I had high platelets a few years back it turned out to be nothing. Heres hoping for the best, Love to you both.

Great news Ross. Now we can resume breathing after holding our breath for so long. :)

Great to hear the surgery went well!!

Great to hear the surgery went well!!

Ross

It is great that they were able to spare the kidney. I guess partial functioning is better than non-functioning. Please try to get as much rest as you can now. You know first hand what will be needed of you once Lyn is home. I will continue to pray for you both. Please don't forget we are only a couple of hours away if you any help!!

Sending you both hugs!!

Michelle
