He'll have a TEE tomorrow to check for vegetation. His latest head scan showed some improvement. So one step at a time.

My goodness...every test in the book. You both really must be exhausted. What a trooper Joe is. I do so hope that all the results come back with improved or "no problem here' kinds of numbers.

You both continue to be in my thoughts, daily. Please take care of yourself, Nancy.

I just wanted to let you know that although I don't post frequently I open this forum everyday to read about Joe's condition. You are a very brave lady and I pray for you both and think of you.

hi nancy,
thanks so much for keeping us posted. please remember that you and joe are still in our thoughts and prayers. weren't you the one who said "baby steps"?
a little improvement each day goes such a long way.
please send joe our best for a speedy recovery and know that you are in our hearts.
all the best,
sylvia

Praying that the Tee goes well today, Nancy. Thinking of you both constantly.

No TEE is going to be done. Joe is deemed to fragile, and even if there were to be vegetation, he is not a surgical candidate. Several doctors have told me that. I have to agree. His possible endocarditis will be treated with antibiotics. He is on several at this time.

hi nancy,
just a quick reminder that you and joe are still in our hearts and prayers. antibiotics is good, and he's where they can keep a close eye on him.
hope you can manage a snooze here and there.
we are all thinking of you.
stay strong and all the best,
sylvia

Nancy...........

Nancy...........

Please know that we are all with you through thick and thin. I don't always post on here as I hate to sound like a broken record, but I assure you this is the first thread I check when I log on. I know others do the same. YOu both have our love and prayers non-stop. Praying for strength for both of you and full recovery for Joe. Much love. Janet

Dear Nancy:

Wayne and I continue to watch for updates from you, and praying for Joe's recovery. I hope over the last day or so, he has taken a step towards recovery. It is good to hear that he is still fighting the fight, with his own archangel by his side, doing his battles alongside him.

Nancy,

Still praying for Joe and you and his caregivers. I hope things improve.

Once again, I am hearing that he does not need critical care anymore, and will be going to the regular floor, so that's progress. Don't know when he will be transferred. He will need to spend some time afterwards in a rehab facility, and we have to also get him a dialysis slot for when he gets discharged. There is a waiting list for both. So I have to meet with the discharge planner.

It is so terribly complicated.

Nancy,

Glad to hear that the baby steps are working to get Joe out of ICU. Many prayers going out that things go smoothly albeit a long journey ahead of you.

Please give my best to Joe and I hope you are doing well also.

Hi Nancy, glad that Joe is again making progress....hopefully he will get out of the ICU soon.

If you can, let the discharge planners etc. handle everything as much as possible so as to make things easier for you....at this point you must be exhausted and don't need to deal with all of the bureacracy (sp?) if you can help it.

Thinking of you both.
