Burair,
The surgeon nixed the trip. I'm to stay close at home until the surgery. He's afraid I'm going to throw another clot, and in that event, the surgery will happen right away.
Batavia is too far away for an ambulance ride!
You all enjoy yourselves!
We'll be thinking of you Mary -- you'll be the toast of the party!

I think we'll bring Ishaq to see the Gateway Arch and the Mississippi soon -- I went up the arch when I was around five -- want my son to be ahead of his old pa...

Please please....put us on the list! Would not want to miss! :D

Burair....just sent you an email :)

Gina -- It will be a pleasure to have you with us. I sent you a reply. Burair

Mary,

Your surgeon sounds like he has things together. I was having a lot of TIAs prior to my last surgery. I asked my surgeon about timing of surgery and he said "I want to operate 1 day before the major clot that's coming". Of course, it was impossible to predict so he really meant it should be ASAP. He had me on a pretty tight lease prior to surgery.

We will miss you next weekend but will raise a glass to you.

If you bring Ishaq, we'll bring Haley! Maybe they can keep up with each other!

I had forgotten that my husband is going to the White Sox game Saturday night on a bus trip and my daughter is getting remarried in Church Saturday night and then her twins are getting baptized on Sunday. I would have really liked to meet everyone. Have a great time, Marcia :)

You are invited to come and visit us anytime, Marcia -- send me mail if you want to drop by sometime you are in the area...

I intend to do this hopefully again next year...

Burair.

Hey Marcia,

I don't remember where you are in IL exactly, but if you are close enough, you could always come up for the morning activities and head back late morning/early afternoon :). Just a thought, anyway....

*pauses*

Only 4 more days :).

We have been talking about this for so long and it's almost here :D :D :D :D :D YEAH!!!

Chocolate chip cookies anyone?

Wow, I'm excited too. This Friday is my last day with students, so my summer break will have officially begun when I get up there. I'll definitely be ready to kick back. BTW, I'm thinking about bringing ramen noodle salad; does that sound okay? It's a good "keeper" salad. See you all then. :) :)

I'm very excited about meeting all of you. I'm equally excited for my wife to meet you because I've told her so much about vr.com. This site has been a help to her as well. Last year when I was diagnosed with BAV I was so mad and frightened because I had lost my brother less than a year before. All I knew was that was where his troubles started, a BAV. Anyway, my fears have been calmed and I also am ready to enjoy myself.

Don't what food we're bringing yet, but I'll think of something good.

Wise (& Cindy)

With all the food -- sounds like we're gonna need all the exercise we can get that day.

You can tell from the pictures I've been posting I am eagerly anticipating letting the lab loose on you ( or maybe the other way around :p ) -- stay away from any bison headed towards McDonalds....

Thanks for the enthusiasm ... I think I've made better progress with my recovery mapping trails, looking at the sights and biking the lab more.

*guiltily tries to avoid eye contact*

The poor bison, birds and butterflies were feeling lonely --- there were no canoes on the lakes and the pool tables felt untouched and unloved....

*grins nervously and ducks out of conversation*

Oh no! Burair has contract the Cord Virus! :D

Karlynn,

How is Glenn doing? How many should I sign in for you?

There's a 30% chance of rain in Saturday -- I requested and got approval for the Village Barn to be opened for us on the 14th in case of rain from 9:00a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Keeping my fingers crossed -- hopefully we'll be able to go on that walk in the prairie interpretive trail and the forest preserve.

*shakes head*

Some try to copy, but can't re-create the original ;).

BTW, I noticed that the forecast is for rain Friday night, too.... How many are planning to come in Friday night? Just curious, in case my dad's softball game is rained out....

My wife and I are coming in Friday night. Hopefully it's not a wet trip. Haven't checked the weather today between here and there. See all of you soon. Wise

To play it safe Burair, sign us in for 4 Glenn, Karlynn, Derek and Shelby Anderson. Both my college kids will be in tow. But because of that, I'm not sure just when we'll arrive or leave. At this point I'm assuming we'll all be there, but Glenn is at the doctor's right now getting a weird thing on his arm checked out. So who knows.

PS - with medical technology making so many advances, there has to be a cure for what you caught!

Done. I signed you in for 9:00 a.m.

Dont think you really need to be signed in -- so you can come in anytime and even if they dont have you on record, tell them you are visiting the public access areas of the lab and show them ID -- do you have my phone number?

Burair

*looks hopeful*

guess you could be right although I see Wise has started to exhibit symptoms as well...

*peters off*

technology might be too late to save me... I fear a full blown case of cortmania here... all beware

*stares off into space bleakly*
