Orlando Update

Orlando Update

Well, we made it here safely just before Christina and Pam. We picked them up at the airport and all checked into our rooms.

Then we met up and Dave, Pat, Dan, Peggy, Christina, Pam, Michelle, Jessica and I had dinner at a place called Pachino's. Personally I think it was a bit overpriced for the portions and the service, but the company made it all worth it.

The only bad part is, I forgot to take the camera! I snapped a few pics with my cell phone camera and will get them up soon.

Then when we walked back to the hotel, Mike and Sherrin were standing in the parking lot waiting for us. Perfect timing!

Mike says he will tandem skydive with me Friday morning so that will be awesome!!!

Sounds like it's off to a great start. Hank - when you post pictures - could you include names, as well as their member names so we know who we're looking at. (Unless the picture are compromising , oh heck - especially if they're compromising! )

I second what Hank said about service and price, especially since I didn't even get my food on the first go around. Pat even had to send her's back because it wasn't fully cooked. I finally got my food and it was OK but nothing great. Of course, this was our second choice. We all had agreed to go to "Charlies Steakhouse" until our "Tour Guide" warned us about it being a "little" pricey ($34 to $40 PER person--plus drinks). Our Champaign taste was overcome by our Beer Budget and we changed to Pachino's (within walking distance---which was a sell also).

We depart on the great QAS tour and FEED this afternoon. Should be a lot of fun, especially the EATING (do y'all detect a theme here----when does th' DRINKING BEGIN-Bubba??????? ).

This reminds me of a couple of older friends zipping down the road to a doctor's visit. The passenger was surprised when she thought they went through a red light. She watched more closely and she saw for a certainty that they went right through a second red light. Fortunately, there was no other traffic. As they flew through a third red light, she exclaimed to her friend, "Gladys, that's the third red light you drove through," to which Gladys exclaimed, "Oh mercy, am I driving? I thought you were!"

I sit here at my computer ... tired/exhausted ... way too tired to sleep ... and seeing/reading this thread ... and becoming VERY jealous of ya'll who are down there in Orlando for the VR reunion..... Sure looks and sounds like a great time ... ENJOY it ... because it won't last all that long.....

Mary called around 5:10 P.M..for a quick update..Having to meet in lobby for the ride to the VR.Com Dinner..at 5 :30 P.M.....I told her we wanted pictures.. .She said there were around 40 people at the QAS dinner last night..so she was able to meet members then.. ..but everyone was out doing their thing today..Did say..Hank/Bill Huitt did go skydiving today..She/family went to Disneyland....She had just met Ann when they returned today....so was looking forward to more conversations with all the members tonight.. .The VR.Com members she told me that were there.......Jan/Hubby...Sherrin/Hubby..Hank/wife..Bubba/wife....Christina/Azpam ......Ann/ son Chuck....JimP...the Dave/Pat that Hank mentioned was Amy (member name) also known as Pat..and a member from Canada (male) cannot remember his name.......She would have to wait until she returned home to post her pictures..but did say..Bubba may post..later and maybe Hank..(pictures).....she said it was 86 degrees and no rain.. And they were planning on having breakfast with many tomorrow before heading home to Mo......She had charged her mobile phone and was planning on calling me later tonight to talk to Jan..so I could hear her accent..and Jan could hear mine .........Also, she thought that I could get pictures on my mobile phone..NOT. .but Lance from QAS..a good friend for 6 years..wanted her to send one of him to me..So sweet..He must be a Super guy...he helped me so much 6 years ago.with my Protime ....( same Protime. No problems) Bonnie
