Surely all these prayers have to help. May he continue to make steady progress. I'll keep praying for that.

I didn't get to visit Wednesday, but I did talk briefly with Chris's wife. Slow progress. She said the LVAD was "turned down", they are reducing some of his drug doses and he seems to be tolerating that. No specific targets given for next steps yet. Day-by-day. I will visit Friday.

Give that woman of his a huge hug for me! Tell her that if it weren't for her being there, they may well have given up on him. Sometimes the SO has to get plumb mad dog mean to make things happen.

Progress report 11/21:

LVAD was removed Friday night. Blood pressure and cardiac output are stable/good. Another step accomplished. MAYBE wake up and breathing tube removal Monday. Are still weaning a number of support drugs.

Good news, it's always a relief getting the LVAD off and he's been off it 24 hours is a good sign
