that's the wheel that keeps the brain turnin. Looks like a chinese umbrella to me! I don't have a front porch swing, but have a glider. Not quite the same, but close.

I don't know Billy, it looks like a sombrero to me, but where are your clothes? There are bars on the windows behind you. Did you get arrested for wearing your sombrero and nothing else? At any rate, you're enjoying it, because you have a nice grin.

Well spotted.....

Well spotted.....

Well spotted Nancy, yes it really is a 'Mexican hat' and the pic was taken in Matamoros, Mexico. I do have clothes on, flesh coloured tee shirt and bluejeans and it just could be true what they say about those Mexican jails (w'all spell it gaols, but that's another word that got 'merricanized')

The smile on my face was probably due to excess consumption of 'margaritas' but it seemed a good idea at the time.:D :D :D

No..no...nooooooo

No..no...nooooooo

I am NOT nekid Ann.....don't they arrest people for that in Mexico?
.....and Mr Rossman, it is a real Mexican hat, not a flywheel strapped to my head as you suggest....

Now pray tell me why the 'Resident Nut' title has been removed from your posts, does this mean that there is a 'therapist' out of work?

And who is going to hold this important title next?

On the other hand...

On the other hand...

I thought somebody should chime in from down here.

We have a forecast for 40 degrees centigrade tomorrow. That comes to around 110 F??..maybe a bit more?

We are having troubles with bushfires all over. It will be a very scary day for some people.

However I do remember my days as a graduate student at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Several inches of snow and bright blue skies. A beautiful place to be.

And a breath of fresh warm air you are, Greg - most of us would love to have your 110 degrees right now, but only for a few hours and then we would run for cover. Your temp sounds like Arizona, USA in the summer time.

We are hearing about the fires there. Such a tragedy. Pray they will be under control soon - but the damage..........oh, my.

Met a fellow once upon a time who had spent many years living in Australia with his wife/children. He retired and returned to USA. He pined for Australia. The way he described the life style sounded like he lived in Perfect. Too bad the rest of the world can't take lessons from y'all.

Billy, bet they have nekid beaches in Messico - they even have one in Sarasota, Fl. But they try to keep it secret. You coulda been there!

Love your fashion statement hat.

Drought in Australia

Drought in Australia

Greg,

My daughter in law is from Australia (Wardung Heights, Queensland) six hours north of Brisbane. They are suffering from the worse drought in years right now. I'll tell you though, she does miss the weather back home where winter was six weeks long, and probably comparable to our spring here in New England. I keep on telling her spring is coming, but right now I am not so sure she believes me anymore, lol! She thought it was funny last summer when people would complain about the heat, as to her she was accustomed to a lot warmer weather.

Enjoy your hot days-I think it is -20 with wind this morning here on the Massachusetts-New Hampshire border.

Gisele

hi Gisele,

It was -8 degrees at my house this morning. Don't know the wind chill. brrrrr
This is going to be the longest length of time that the temperature never went above freezing since 1961. enough to last me for the winter---come on springtime---only 60 more days to april.:)

What is April?

What is April?

I thought that was just a myth? LOL

Leaving for a cruise in three weeks! I can't wait. I already starting tanning-makes me feel a little warmer. It is too cold to do anything-even ski!

Well, on my way to my cardio to discuss my ehco results. Let's hope all goes well.

Gisele

good luck at the cardiologist.

Enjoy your trip, have fun, get a tan, take lots of pictures.

Does your grandson have on a dark jacket with white stripes going down the arms? It looks like he is up in the air. Cutie if that is him. Cutie, even if it isn't him. Did you ski on Sunday?

Didn't realize you could ski in Georgia. Gee, you mean you can have warm weather and snow down south? I am heading up to Waterville Valley in New Hampshire Friday for the my birthday weekend. Unfortunately I heard the weather is going to be lousy.

If I ever head down to Georgia I will be sure to let you know. And of course, you are always welcome to come to Massachusetts. I know I should be bragging about MA in this braggin contest, but I really do like NH better. Seeing as I live right on the line, I guess that can be allowed, right? MA of course has Boston with plenty of historical sites. NH is known for it white mountains and beautiful lakes, and don't forget-no state or sales tax! Add that to pure maple syrup and the beautiful foiliage-you can't beat it!

Next? LOL

Bon Bon

I know how special you are, but not an "old" anything, just my favorite cheerleader. Glad you are cheering for the grand kids.

Gisele - they have fake snow in Georgia! I saw it. Pump it right out of those pipes. Isn't Kam a cutie up in the air - with no sticks, too (or poles?).

Hey Bill - lovely lady with you. Jackie talked w/her today. They had a lovely event to celebrate, didn't they? Don't know who it was, just that it was a beautiful event. So very nice.

About the weather,

tell me is this girl looking at

a) Lake Michigan in winter.

b) Gulf of Mexico in winter.

c) young studs in boats or Monte Carlos.
