Here in Boulder, Colorado it has been fairly mild this winter. Lately it has ben in the 40s and 50s with an occasional 60s or 30s. At night it gets quite cold, often in the teens and 20s.

Cold night time temps in CO

Cold night time temps in CO

I talked to my son in Fort Collins yesterday, he said it was 66 degrees! I couldn't believe it. I'm sure it's been getting below freezing at night though.

He was trying to convince me it was okay that he hadn't taken the food I canned for him out of the car yet. He went back to college Thursday! Grrrrr... If the cold night time temps broke the seals.... it's gonna be awhile before he gets mom to do any more canning for him. Back to hot dogs and ramen noodles for him.

You are invited to spend a week at Henyslee's house next August when the temperature is 103 and the humidity is 100%:D :D :D Florida in August is not for whiners:D :D :D Please, seperate bedrooms...:p :p Gotta watch that Ann...Bonnie:) :) :)

I can remember last August when the days were all 104 and humidity was melting people, wishing for a day like these - but you know what they say "Be careful what you wish for". Why do we mind the heat when we are at home and love it when we are at the beach. Come on down.:D

Cold in Minnesota

Cold in Minnesota

Hi,

Supposed to be the coldest week so far this winter. Temps at -10 to -20 nights and single digits during the day. Wind is nasty from the northwest. The cold is heading to the east and south so brace for it! KEEP WARM!!!!

Hey Pam, I'll check back with you about monsoon time to see if you're still bragging ;) (I lived in Phoenix for 16 years).

Sunny here in Seattle today, but light rain / showers with 45-50 degrees forecast for the next 9 days. Could be longer, but the weather channel is only going out 9 days, LOL.

er, welcome to seattle.

Billy, see my email to you. I think you may have cookie corruption ....

Yes, I understand cookie corruption in Ireland has become a major problem. If you're stopped by a policeman, the "price" to avoid a ticket is two chocolate chip cookies. It is even worse in England, where you can now get a knighthood from the queen for a dozen oatmeal-raisin cookies (seems she needs the extra fiber these days). In Scotland, there are rogue gangs of youths who will pull off a man's kilt unless he gives them each a ginger snap!

Ah, I miss the good old days when a cookie was nothing more than a cookie!

I vote for you to open your windows and let those Robins inside before they fall off their perch (inside joke):D :D

Hi Johnny! actually i like the monsoon season! cools things off real well after a hot summer. rain is welcome that time of year. it is the couple months before monsoon that gets real hot and dry. that is when i live in the pool in the backyard!! couldn't live without it! by the way, it wasn't a full brag anyway because you guys DID ASK for weather reports.

Saw those same robins headed south again - but they won't even be safe in Miami - maybe Cuba! Our updated tonight's weather report says we will be in single digits in DeFuniak Springs, Fl. on Friday morning. Pipes will be busted all over the county. Bonnie, you are going to be stuck on top of that mountain with that bear! Will send robins as soon as possible.:D

Hey Guys.....It's FREEEZZZZING up here!!! This morning it was 11 without the wind chill, and the wind is happily blowing, so I can't imagine what it feels like. Tonight we'll hit single digits, SO TELL THOSE ROBINS TO GO TO THE CARRIBEAN!!!

So far this week the days have been just beautiful - that's what we are used to. Seems so cruel to spring this weekend on us the way it's going to be. Our Canadian visitors love it - like summer to them when they visit in winter. Not a bird in sight today except the wrens who even hang around Boston in the winter.

Been waiting for Bill to jump in here.

This could turn out to be the longes thread we have had in a while.

Just for you Annie, I will stop in and talk of the balmy Florida beach weather we are having.

It is just wonderful. But, remember, I only moved here 12 years ago, still remember the real cold up north. Must admit that I had to wear a windbreaker for a few trips out this last week, though.

Got to go post something a little more about hearts,

Bye

Now Bonnie is going to stop by and say I am so cold I can't even type correctly. She might be right.
