Shocking and extremely sad news :(
Condolences in particular to Bonnies family and those of you who had grown close to her.

Her fun, kindness and wisdom will certainly be missed.

All my thoughts and prayers are with Granbonnie's loving family. She will be truly missed.

All the best, Betsy

Nnnnoooooooo

Nnnnoooooooo

I am as well, in shock. I remember talking to Granbonny a lot. She was always here when I needed someone. She could always make me smile, no matter how grim things looked. She is at peace now, watching over us. I will miss you a lot Bonnie. I will always remember her talking about her kids, grankids, and everyone else!

I have only just heard the news and I am so sad to hear of her passing. I haven't been on the chat for a while but have very fond memories of this lovely lovely lady.

My thoughts are with her family at this sad time.

May she rest in peace.

Irish Condolences...

Irish Condolences...

The sad news of Bonnie's passing has reached Ireland. I got an e-mail from a friend on the forum and couldn't believe that such a vibrant Lady had left us.

My sincere condolences go out to all her Family members - I remember her posts and her witty contributions to the Sunday Chat. She was always the life and soul of the party and to those who actually met her in person, extra condolences to y'all.....I'm envious.

I haven't been active in VR.com for a few years but a few of the oldies may remember me as Billy in Ireland. Hank obviously deleted me in one of his culling exercises due to inactivity. Now that I've rejoined perhaps I'll drop by now and then to keep in touch. It took Bonnie's untimely death to bring me back to the forum, but then that's the type of person she was....even having an influence after she's gone.

I imagine her influence will be felt here for a long time to come - May she rest in peace.

This is an AWESOME picture.

I spoke to Ann via phone earlier today and yesterday ... and spoke with Mary, too.

This picture totally just brings out Bonnie's personality. She was a great lady. I am going to miss her posts!

The tears are just welling up and spilling out. All I could think was, No!!! This just isn't possible!! Not this ray of sunshine, not this tender mother and grandmother, not this funny, kind, tough, lovely woman!! We still need her!

Adriane. How very sweet and kind of you to let us know...and at a time of great sorrow and shock for you and your family.

She will be missed by so many. She was a bright light amongst us....always there.....as if she were singing her way into our hearts.

My best wishes to you and all her loved ones during this sorrowful time.

Marguerite

I am so very sorry to hear this. Bonnie was a truly wonderful and caring person. Several times we went to Helen with the kids and I often thought we should meet for dinner, unfortunately it was always "next time, we'll have more time then".

When I first came to this site and had all the difficulties with my last cardio she gave me the name and number of hers, she must have said something to him as well since he took me as a new patient even though he wasn't taking new patients.

Bonnie you will always be remembered.

I've already said my prayers for Bonnie's family and friends this morning as she is laid to rest. Words can't express how upset I am with this news....I just can't get Bonnie and her family, and especially her grandbabies, off my mind. She sooo loved them all, and us, that it truly is such a personal loss. I will keep everyone in my prayers, especially today.

Evelyn

I just found out about this today from Ann - I feel like I've had the wind knocked out of me. Bonnie was one of many who welcomed me to a much-smaller VR.com back in 2001 when I was getting ready for my surgery. She was really inspirational for me and I will never forget her. I really believe that a person lives on through their impact on others - in some way she lives on through all of us here.

I regret that I never got a chance to try the possum pie.

Please accept my condolences on your loss - I feel fortunate to have known her, if only from afar.

I am so saddened to see this terrible news...so sad !!!

I would like to send my deepest condolences to EVERYONE ...family and friends and to say 'farewell' to Bonnie, may the Lord keep her Close.

I have not logged on in a few days, please accept my belated and sincere condolences to your family. Granbonny was a very special and supportive person to everyone here and her legacy will remain with us forever.

Peace,
Ruth

Our Last Reunion.

Our Last Reunion.

Wal, Miss Bonnie, yo' WUS even late fo' yer Funeral!!!

Now hush up Bubba!!!

Wal she was, by a few minutes!!

Well, our beloved Bonnie has been laid to rest in her favorite jogging suit (nothing fancy for our gal). You could tell she was looking down on us. Just before the graveside service a little rain shower came up. Just as she arrived, the rain stopped and by the start of the service the sun was shining. When everyone started leaving it started to drizzle again.

She arrived in style. Her procession was led by 4 motorcycle police escorts, followed by 7 police cars from Lawrenceville, where her son Wes works. Reverend Puckett gave a sweet talk of how Bonnie had touched so many in her short time here. He said when she had her valve surgery she didn?t do like a lot of folks would do, just go on about her life. She went looking for someone to help and found ValveReplacement.com. She touched and guided so many others that were facing what she had gone thru.

We had a good visit with her husband John, son Wes, daughter Adriane and Bonnie?s sister, Diane. We told them how much Bonnie had been loved by so many on VR.COM. She had touched many a heart around the world. John said he and Bonnie were at the grocery story last Friday and Bonnie noticed an elderly woman struggling to get around. Bonnie MADE John go get one of the electric carts to help her out. John got the cart and went off to do their shopping, leaving Bonnie talking (as usual) with the lady. Bonnie finally caught up with him about 15 or 20 minutes later talking about the 80 year old woman and that she was having valve replacement surgery Monday. She had told her all about what to expect. Adriane said they felt it was strange that the old lady she had helped was just down the hall from Bonnie at the hospital Monday. They didn?t know how she came thru.

On behalf of VR.COM I thanked John, Wes, Adriane and Diane for sharing Bonnie with us. John said he always knew where she would be at 5 PM on Sunday. He said he would go off to fix supper and when he called her to eat she would always say ?I?ll be there in just a minute?. Adriane said she had called her last Sunday and Bonnie reminded her she was on chat right now and would call her back.

I posted below the ?In Loving Memory? handout. With all that we face with our hearts, I thought ?God?s Call? was very appropriate.

Bonnie Gal, we sho'e gonna miss ya. Keep a lookin? down on us an' we will all meet up agin one day. Oh yeah, remember whut yo' see in hevvin, stays in hevvin. An' eff'n yo' git th' chance t'make a few erasures in His notes about Bubba, I'll sho'e appreesheeate it.

May God Bless, Bonnie,

Danny :(

An' Bubba (ah didn?t wears no cap an' ah had a coat an' (CHOKE) tie on.) :( :(

Bless your heart Bubba - we knew you'd clean up good and represent all of us. Bonnie would've been proud.

Thank you for showing us the poem and particulars. I have saved it on my computer. Any of you that want to, you can save it, too - right click on your mouse.

Bubba thank you very kindly for sharing your moment with us. Bonnie was assisting others to the very end. Story about the woman in the grocery store.... just amazing. Bonnie was 'Golden'. God only takes the good, that's for certain:)

I thought I was done crying. Thanks so much Danny for representing us and sharing what we all felt about our dear Granbonny. If this is the lengths we have to go to to get you to wear a tie, I'm hoping you don't wear a tie for a very very long time.

Thanks GadgetDan

Thanks GadgetDan

Thanks Danny for giving us some details of the service.

Did you notice if the VR.com flowers were there?

Bonnie is making all of our spring flowers bloom brighter on this day.. I noticed that the ones by my front door were extra bright when I got home from work and I got really neat feeling that she had a hand in it.

This life is such a fleeting moment for all of us. We are are honored to have had the pleasure of a Bonnie encounter..
