The oil town where we lived in Texas is hurt bad. The petrochemical complex where I worked shut down this year. The price of oil has shut down the oil field. We saw that town boom and bust two different times when we lived there.

I am aweful sorry to hear this news...It seems like everyone is getting it these days.....My younger brother has really gotten nailed hard as well. This is really horrible


I can only offer my prayers that Lyn finds another job quickly or things change so that she may be able to maintain her hours. Harrybaby....

Gees Rossman...sorry to hear you guys have been personally affected by this as well as many others...even us little Aussies are enduring hard times...my hubby got a 20% cut in pay this Christmas just so the fat-cats that run the company can keep their mega salries and bonuses...it stinks all round.

I hate to say it, but unless your in the top 20% of the big bucks, your going to be affected sooner or later. The bottom hasn't yet fallen out of our economy here.
