Is everyone doing all right with this weather? Slipping and sliding? Here in central Illinois we dodged a bullet again and just have a little ice and a little snow and not too cold.

12 degrees here this morning. Dodged a bullet as well, ( 1" total snowfall ) but the hysterical local TV weathermen have been on continuously like it was the storm of the century..which has created pandemonium in the grocery stores and lines at the gas stations! :p

We have a huge storm in the process today and tomorrow. I'll probably be complaining big time tomorrow after I snowblow.

Live in Peru and we got snow last night and still snowing today. I think we have a couple of inches. Have any of you been to Starved Rock State Park in this area? Someone is building a huge Resort around that area. Indoor water slides etc. Just wondering since they have a lot of winter things going on. Live 5 miles from the Lodge and really don't get out there very often.

On the planet Ohio, we had Thunder Ice complete with lots of lightning and thunder of course. Now it's starting to freeze yet again after raining, so this is going to be some real fun. :(

I have fond memories of going to Starved Rock -- but that was many years ago.

I need to go out and shovel -- and I'm looking forward to it today, since we have FRESH SNOW! I was getting tired of the old stuff. I'd shovel it off the driveway one day, and then it'd drift back in overnight. I was getting on a first name basis with some of the snowflakes -- either that or I was staying out too long.

Intermittent showers and grey skies here on the Gulf. And too cold for my Floridian blood..high of 48 today

It was 10 degrees here in Joplin, MO this morning. Cold! There's not too much snow on the ground although all the schools are out around this area. I live way back in a hay field and have to drive up to the mail box and the road wasn't too bad. I made it just fine. It's warmed up th is afternoon and some of the snow is melting, which is fine with me.

Typical Cincinnati weather here: wait 30 minutes and it will change!

Started Monday morn with temps in the low 20s and light snow flurries. Then temps started to rise, so the snow changed to freezing rain, then rain, then nothing. Temps rose into the lower 40s, so we had dense fog for the evening (because the humidity was still high and we still had piles of melting and evaporating snow lying around).

Today started with low 30s and rain, with a prediction of temps into the low 20s and the usual transition from rain, to freezing rain, to snow. The precipitation hasn't materialized, and I haven't been outside to check the temps, but they usually follow the forecast, so...

Dreary, gray, cloudy, raw, cold, flurrying, sleeting, spitting, and overall depressing!!! We're on the track for the big one......they're still talking 6-15, but more on the east end of Long Island.

And what do I get in the mail today???? FLORIDA, USA!!! From the Dept of Tourism of Fla.......man, what I wouldn't give.......

I remember years ago..when my daffodils were up..March 7th...Worse snowstorm to ever hit Georgia. They were poking their liitle yellow heads up above the white snow. What a sight.:D and we are talking about another 6 weeks.   Rufus, my big black cat was just sitting on front porch this morning..watching 10 big fat squirrels eating the birdfeed. NO way..he was going to tackle them:D :D Bonnie

NJ is getting hit!

NJ is getting hit!

Snow, sleet, frozen rain, and now snow again.

The winds and the temperatures are brutal, moving to a southern state is sounding better and better.

But she was home for xmas and left for Calif. & Hawaii right after. She is wanting to make a career change at almost 30. She was an INCU RN. She thinking about trying for a drug rep. Not here but maybe Indy or Cinn. Chicago. Close to home but not to close. It would be great if she got a job in Hawaai. That would to good to be true. I would like for her to settle down and find the right guy. I just really want her to be happy.:D
The good new I am finally feeling like I am back to the life of the living. I have been so sick, fever.cough, runny nose, sore throat. Ihave be on three kinds of drugs since last Mon. The ER was almost an option over the weekend. My asthma kick in with a big punch. Getting back to normal now.

We've got about 10 inches or so. It's cold as well, so it was fairly easy to snowblow. As luck would have it, it fell during the night, and first thing this morning, I had to go get the paper, walk the dog and take Joe for some lab work, so had to take care of the snow first because the plow had dumped about 2 feet of snow at the bottom of the driveway. I had a very busy morning.
