I am so sorry

It with great sadness that I read of their loss. I know I am not alone when I say it is a fear we moms live with and know that it a tragety we hate to hear of. Prayers for all.

How very sad. There are no words that I can saw that will make things better. I also followed Teddy's story during his surgery and long recovery. I was hoping that after he made progress things would be ok. I will be keeping Cindy and her family in my thoughts and prayers. May your happy memories of Teddy bring you some much need comfort as you go through this very sad time.

I can't begin to thank all of you for your kind words and sympathy. Teddy will be greatly missed and it has been heartwarming to know how many people knew, loved and admired him for not only who he was but for how he lived his life. He touched many and will continue to. Teddy as you know was an avid skier and sailor and passionate about what he loved. He died with ski boots on and a camera in his hands and had told those with him that day that he was experiencing one of the best days ever. His funeral is on Friday and he has 30-40 friends flying in from all parts of the country and Canada to say good-by. There will be a gathering this evening to attach skis that he spent much of his life in to the casket his body will be in when it arrives from Canada. There is a web site called Newschoolers.com that has a forum where those who knew Teddy have left tributes to him and it is heartwarming to read what those who knew him thought of his life. If you log on as a guest and go to interact then forums then ski gabbers you will see the over 250 posts.
His autopsy was inconclusive at this time but they kept his heart in Vancouver for further study. He complained shortly before he collapsed about tingling in his hands. He had been in great health since his long recovery from his May surgery and was taking very good care of himself. He regularly monitored his Coumadin and bragged that he only forgot to take it once and woke up three hours later to take it. With him that day was a backpack with camera equipment and his wallet and his pills. Many never knew he even had a heart problem. He was always smiling and as one of his friends stated so eloquently his smile, sense of humor and the life he lead was envied by many and he would light up any room he graced. We loved him and feel blessed for the time we had to be part of his life.
Thanks again,
Cindy

Cindy,

Cindy,

Again my condolences on your great loss. It sounds to me as if Teddy had done his work here on earth and it was his time. He lived more in his 20 years than a lot of people live in 80 years!! I have always been in awe of people like Teddy - and a bit envious...their zest for life, their many friends, their perseverance despite all odds.

You were blessed to have such a wonderful son and he was blessed to have you for a mother.

May God continue to give you strength and peace -

Christina L

Many who have lived long lives have not done 1/2 as much as Teddy accomplished in his short life. From what I've read, you will have many, many wonderful memories to cherish. May they sustain you at this very difficult time and may you continue to feel him close to you, as I know he is.

Dearest Cindy and family,
I have been away for three days and I am so shocked and saddened to read that Teddy has passed away. Please know that our deepest sympathy is sent your way and may all your fond memories sustain you in the days and months to come. As others have said, you have so much to be proud of and Teddy accomplished so much and brought joy to so many in his short life.

I am so sad to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with his family-

Aye.

I'm offline for nearly 2 weeks (due to computer and other issues) ... and I come back to 2 deaths ... Teddy's and a fellow Monte Carlo enthusiast, whom I met and stayed with a couple nights during my road trip out west in 2004 ...the same year the VR reunion was in Golden CO.

Cindy ... please know my thoughts/prayers are coming your way.
