Thank- you everyone, for Well wishes and Prayers, They are much Appreciated.

Just dropped our two Labs off at my brothers place. He has 108 acres for them to run and play. My brother and his Wife also has three large dogs, All five dogs get along great. That is a relief. I will miss those two dogs of ours, But they seem to be in dog heaven at the moment.

At the Pre surgery meeting today, I asked how long the dogs should stay away, They said I should plan on about 8 weeks. That seems a bit long doesn't it?

Kinda planning to play that by ear, and see how things go.

Thanks again
Ron

Good Luck.
As for the dogs, I think it depends on the dogs. How did they act when you came home after your cath?
We had 2 or 3 large (over 100 lbs or slightly less) for Justin's surgeries when he was 10, 17 and 19 (not always the same 3 dogs) they were always very "playfull and full of energy", to put it nicely. But when when Justin had surgeries (or was pretty sick) they somehow sensed it and were very calm and gentle around him. I've heard the same things from others. We had a back up plan IF we thought any of them would be too excited.
I think it is a great idea to have them play on the farm w/ their cousins for a while. Maybe IF you want when you are feeling a little better you could go visit? Altho I'm thinking if it has been a month or so they might be so excited when they first see you, they couldn't help themselves.
