So glad that you cam into this board. You have so much to be proud of in your little girl. She has been so brave in so little years. And she will live a long time now. Things have changed sine I was a kid back in the 1970's. She is doing great and let her be as active as the doctor will allow. She is a beauty and will be a heartbreaker. Take care and come in with all your questions. You are a great dad.

St. Jude's valve

Dad,

Wonderful story! I'm glad everything has worked out. Regarding the Coumadin level, my surgeon indicated that although most Cardio's will want it between 2 and 3.5, due to the function of the aortic valve (mine's a St. Jude), basically similar to a toilet flushing, the odds of any blood clotting on the actual valve is slim thus the Pro time can eventually level off closer to 2 than 3. Hope that helps. She's definitely an inspiration! God bless her with a long healthy life. :)

If it weren't for the bandages (hardly noticeable) on her chest, and the bandaid on her neck, you wouldn't know she had just had OHS. What a beautiful, strong and wonderful little girl!

So glad she is now home and doing well. Congratulations!

She is just precious. I'm printing that pic to take over and show your Aunt.

Praise God she is doing so well, Madison looks so wonderful. She is a beauty. I hope I look this good just after my surgury....hehehe. Kids do tend to recover so much faster than adults. I am so proud and I know Mom and Dad are too. I will continue to pry for Madison and wish her all the best. Good luck

Madison's Collierville cousins are thrilled that she's doing so well! Glad she's got enough of her daddy's determination to show everyone who's boss! Good things she's got her mommy's sweet disposition. I enjoyed reading the messages posted on this site. Sounds like y'all will have lots of support and good info. As someone who is in healthcare - stay on top of it -- healthcare workers are humans and they can be questioned. That's what those gut instincts are for - go with them and be heard. I've persisted at times with this asthma stuff we've dealt with when docs were pretty nonchalant.

We can't wait to see more pics and hear more good news about her progress. I'm so proud of all of you - amazed by your strength and awed by your faith. Phillipians 4:6
