And again, thanks for the continuing lovely comments.

And maybe we should try to plan some sort of a Northwest reunion. There are at least 5 of us in the Portland metro area by now. Maybe more. For out-of-towners, the best months here in the Willamette Valley are August and September. Any thoughts? Portland or Seattle?

Maybe we should have a thread started by an experienced event planner (um, Mary? comes to mind) titled, "how to plan a VR.com reunion/get-together in your town". :)

It's not all that hard. I had a little gig planned with a few people in my area just before my teeth infected, so it got canceled until I get some choppers. I hope to try to assemble everyone again before fall and give it a go.

Here we go . . . Ross is your event planner!;):)

How sweet to think that Bonnie is up there keeping up with all of us! I love that notion. I'm so sure it is somehow true. She is always in our thoughts here and that keeps her present.

And, Ann, I am humbled by your honor!!!!! That possum is quite regal, Griffins and all!! What other possum is there? Could it be Possum Pie?? I googled that and found this recipe!! Sounds pretty good!

BONNIE'S POSSUM PIE
3 egg whites, beat
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
30 Ritz crackers, crushed
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 lg. Cool Whip
1 pkg. frozen coconut
Slowly add one cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla to 3 beaten egg whites. Fold in 30 Ritz crackers, crushed and 1 cup chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Let crust cool completely. Combine Cool Whip and coconut. Spread over crust. Refrigerate. Cook in a 9 x 12 inch baking pan.

:D Marguerite

we need to rename it to BONNIE'S POSSUM PIE........

Ha! The official VR.com dessert!

There were plenty of other recipes for it, but this one caught my eye because it sounded like it might end up LOOKING like a possum!!!

Let's see, in this recipe they aren't specific about which kinds of nuts.... so would that be chopped Cooker, Ross, Gadgetman and hmm... a female nut...... who's willing?:D

I think I'll re-search this recipe thing abit more. Let's come up with a pie befitting our Queen Bonnie. Ann's shield is so regal, certainly the pie should be too! I'll get back to you on that.

Okay Northwesterners..... let's wait for abit more springtime and let's see about getting together. I'll start a new thread one of these weeks. ;)
