Wow, thanks, everyone. You have really said lovely things and I so appreciate them.

Like I said at first.. this is such a fantastic place to be heard.

I'll certainly be around for 3,000 more posts! Why would I ever want to leave this family!?

Yahoo! 3,000! Congrats Marguerite! I enjoy your cyber-friendship, all the advice, encouragement & kind words you have had since I joined here!

Congratulations to you Marguerite. At reunions we discuss many things and one of those this time was 'who would you most like to meet from VR?'

My answer = Marguerite.

 Awww. Thanks!

And with that in mind, I've changed my avatar to one of our area's more popular natural sights.. Multnomah Falls. Here's a cute little site with some quick info. http://www.spectacularoregon.com/fallslakes/multnomahfalls.htm

I googled the falls and I must say, this really cracked me up...:eek:

I read in another thread that there is a plan to get together in New Orleans for a reunion in October. When I mentioned that to my husband he wondered why an event would be planned at the beginning of hurricane season? Now, here in Oregon, we're often experiencing Indian Summer in October. Not to mention, it's a wine and beer lovers paradise here....

So, any thoughts on coming west? :D

Again, thanks to you all for your kind words.

How sweet to think that Bonnie is up there keeping up with all of us! I love that notion. I'm so sure it is somehow true. She is always in our thoughts here and that keeps her present.

And, Ann, I am humbled by your honor!!!!! That possum is quite regal, Griffins and all!! What other possum is there? Could it be Possum Pie?? I googled that and found this recipe!! Sounds pretty good!

BONNIE'S POSSUM PIE
3 egg whites, beat
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
30 Ritz crackers, crushed
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 lg. Cool Whip
1 pkg. frozen coconut
Slowly add one cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla to 3 beaten egg whites. Fold in 30 Ritz crackers, crushed and 1 cup chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Let crust cool completely. Combine Cool Whip and coconut. Spread over crust. Refrigerate. Cook in a 9 x 12 inch baking pan.
