Sorry to hear about the complications. Hope he makes it through the next few days just fine. Prayers and best wishes to you!!

So sorry to hear about this setback for Chris. I sure hope he is sedated enough to not remember much of this extra time on the vent. Thanks Carla for posting. Let him know we are praying for him (and you as well!)

I wish we knew about M2K!

I wish we knew about M2K!

Hi all!

Gosh, I wish we knew how M2K is doing....it's making me crazy

Hopefully someone from his family will post soon. I also wish we would hear about Jonesie. I know that surgery was just today, but I'm so anxious to hear that they are okay.

Sending extra positive thoughts and prayers their way :p

Hugs

Me, too!! This is my 10th check-in! Maybe they're just in a holding pattern and there's nothing to report. I looked through his past posts and I guess he's at the Indiana Heart Center with a Dr. Griffith? That number is 1-317-583-5000 (off their website) I called, but they would not give me anything since I don't have his last name. I'm off for most of the morning. Hope there's wonderful news when I return.

Wishing them the very best.

Marguerite

Ross, do you know his last name?? I officially have no fingernails left either!

Just spoke to Carla on the phone...

Just spoke to Carla on the phone...

Hello, all. I went to Chris's myspace account (which is in his member profile) and found the website for his music studio. It is there that I found his last name. I just called the hospital that Marguerite tried to call, this time with his last name, and after several shifted calls, I was able to talk to Carla, his wife. He is officially off the ventilator and making some baby steps in terms of his progress. Things are going slowly, but Carla was very hopeful. I told her that I would relay that information to all of you, and that either she or the brother will post within a day or two.

Thanks Sherry

Thanks Sherry

Thank you so much Sherry. I tried to call, but I was told that, because I am not a family member, they could not tell me how he was doing. I'm so glad to hear that he is off the ventilator and making baby steps. Baby steps are better than no steps. I hope you told Carla that we're all thinking about them!

Again, thanks for letting us know. I feel so much better now. Now if we could just hear how Jonesie and Denobobeno are doing!

Hugs :p

Hmm who did you pay to get to Carla? Leah35 tried and they cut her off because she wasnt' family. :(

Anywho, I'm glad to at least have this tiny bit of news.

Yes, I was very surprised to get through. I just got shifted from one department to the next until I got to the nurse in his hall. I explained to her that I had had my surgery up there years ago, that I was a member of a VR support group, that I was from Indiana, you know, anything to convince her that I was legitimate, and she went and got Carla on the phone for me. Knowing his last name certainly helped. I'm just relieved he is doing better.

Thanks, Sherry. Whew. I'll never try to hide from you! Good news about Chris.

Sherry-WTG! Wow, you are impressive. This tread is a "nailbiter" and it is so nice that you worked so hard to contact Carla- it must have meant very much to her and her husband. When someone is on their back from heart surgery, having VR.com vibes pulling for them makes a difference!:)

Great job Sherry!!! Thanks. I went to his myspace, too, but didn't see his last name....you're a much better slueth!! Just got back from the airport and am VERY GLAD to hear that he has stabliized and is progressing.

I think that support groups are definitely starting to be a respected and understanded part of daily life....I'm glad that your mentioning ours helped to get you through. Testament to our humanity in every department! :)

Keep up the forward progress, Chris!!

Sherry, thanks so much for being a good Blood Hound and hunting down Chris' status. I'm glad things are going better for him. I hope his recovery has no more speed bumps.

Wow

Wow

I'm blown away by the resourcefulness and concern you all have shown here for M2K. I'm sure the knowledge that we are all out here thinking of Chris and Carla will help them both in the hours and days ahead.

Sending the best thoughts along,
Barbara

That's great news, Sherry. Thanks so much for persevering. Sending our best wishes to Chris and Carla and look forward to his continued improvement.
