Some of y'all make me feel like a train wreck! You get by with just 3 or 4 pills? wow! And I'm only 48. Cardio would have added nitro to this package recently, but I already have a problem with migraines, instead he increased my atacand.
AM:
coreg
sotalol
aspirin
spironolactone
NOON: atacand (2 pills for now, moving to half-tablet program)
PM:
coreg
sotalol
coumadin (2 pills or 1.5 pills, depending upon dosage)
vitamin
sometimes lasix and potassium
total: 10 to 12 pills

I'm 25. I've been prescribed more than I actually take. The side effects of some medications are totally unacceptable. Here's the list I actually take:

Vasotec
Tenormin x2
Carafate
Diphenhydramine (generic benadryl as needed)
Ativan (as needed)

Temporarily Vicodin and Dulcolax.
Albuterol as needed

I should also be taking a diuretic, verapamil, prilosec, and flovent.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!~!~!!!

So far we've taken 196 pills!

I think I have a tummy ache :(

I also nominate jim516 as our leader.

Age 54 At 22 months I take
25mg of metoprolol (1/2 pill)

albuterol ( asthma)
percoset (pain) or extra strength tylenol during the day if I can get by

I am post surgery 10 days and they are changing the meds all the time as my BP goes low. Coumadin is no where near regulated yet either which scares me but its being monitored almost daily. I used to take supplements which they asked me to hold off on til a bit later and we can add back one at a time.

Does anyone feel like this guy? I sure do:

Age 51

When I first got out of surgery it was pretty much a fistful of who-knows-what in the AM and another fistful in the PM. Now, 16 weeks later, just 3 total daily and only 2 are RX.

AM - one 85mg aspirin

PM - one 25mg Lovastatin (cholesterol)
one 3mg coumadin (mech valve)

That's it! Woo-hoo!

I am three weeks post-op on my AVR and I have 10 pill bottles on my table.

Ibuprofen (every eight hours) (I had pericardial inflammation)
Methocarbamol (Robaxin) as needed
Lopressor every 12 hours
Ferrous sulfate 3 times a day
folic acid once a day
Lasix once a day
Prilosec once a day
Oxycodone as needed
Senokot twice a day
Coumadin once a day

When I first came home two weeks ago, I was taking the Robaxin three times a day (its a muscle relaxer). But yesterday I started cutting back. I think it was making me feel like a zombie. I feel much better today.

The Oxycodone said 1 - 2 tabs as needed every eight hours, but I only take it at night. It gives me the cold sweats, but it helps me sleep.

I see Christina's and now I want to see Azpam's, too.

I take:

A.M.
1 bp a.m.
1 antidepressant
1 82mg aspirin
1 JuicePlus fruit pill
1 JuicePlus veg pill
omega 3 fish oil

P.M.

1/2 Xanax
zetia
omega 3 fish oil
1 JuicePlus fruit pill
1 JuicePlus veg pill

I take 3 pills in the morning and 11 at night (right now). But some of those are because I take more than one pill for the same prescription. Here's the breakdown:

AM:
Vasotec- 20 mg (2 pills)
Lasix- 20 mg (1 pill)

PM-
Vasotec- 20 mg (2 pills)
Lasix- 20 mg (1 pill)
Coumadin- 8 mg (2 pills) (though I think I'm going up to 10 mg if my last two INR checks are any indication)
Toprol- 75 mg (2 pills)
Lanoxin- .1875 mg (2 pills)
Aldactone- 20 mg (1 pill)
Asprin- 81 mg (1 pill)

And I usually take BCP, but we're gearing up for our IVF cycle with the surrogate, so I'm off of it right now. And I should be taking my vit. C but keep forgetting to pick some up at the store!

I've been taking a pharmacy's worth of pills most of my life. It stinks. When I was a teenager I would "pretend" to take my meds and really didn't because I hated being different from my friends. Eventually I figured out that they made me feel better and stopped being stupid. I now can tell when I have missed a dose because my heart tells me loud and clear.
