Ross:

What haven't you had! I know what pneumonia is but have never had it, and what is pleural effusion??? Gues I should be glad I do not know about a lot of the medical conditions/terms I read here!

Counting my lucky stars right now!

Speaking of stars, when I was in Homer, Alaska this past weekend, got up at 3 am to look at the stars over Kachemak Bay. And Mars was out of this world! Wished I'd had a telescope. Won't be that close to the Earth again till the year 2285!

Well you know what pericardial effusion is, fluid around the heart. Well pleural effusion is fluid around the lungs.

You know, I really need to get off of here and see the stars one of these nights.

Thanks Ross................

Thanks Ross................

but I'll pass on this one. Sounds like it is as much fun as bleeding in your head...............hmmmmm

Did you experience this after your surgery?

On the last surgery I suspect that I did. I know the blebs developed and burst, so I think a bleeding episode occured also. Any time they mess with my chest, I'm in trouble. They go places that they ought to leave alone, but in the interest of science, they just gotta clip and poke.

I've had a total of 9 rounds since 1991, which is why I have so much scar tissue in the lobes of my lungs. I really shouldn't even be on this planet right now. Someone wants me here for some reason. I just need to figure out what that reason is.

Ahhh Ross..........

Ahhh Ross..........

We need you here, you haven't figured that out yet? (((((hug)))))

Exactly, Gisele....... words of wisdom. Hugs and pats on the back to Ross!

I think you are right! He's never this quiet, is he??!!!

Trying to think of a good come back, but you all have worn me out!

Thank you for you thoughts and prayers and friendship and stuff and stuff.

I must depart and go forth amongst the humans and make purchases to appease the female beast when she gets home from her labor duty. I will interface with you all later on this evening.

Love,
Nutcase

Maybe...........

Maybe...........

He is out looking at the stars.................I think it is starting to get dark already here on the east coast.

Peggy-

You must see lots of Northern Lights there. Sometimes when the solar wind and magnetic fields are just right we can have a good show in Northern NY, but where you are, it must be spectacular.

It's getting cooler here, and it made me think of auroras.

Here's a real nice site with lots of images:

Is it dark there? It is only 3 pm here and we have such long days in the summer.

Northern Lights

Nancy:

We do see Northern Lights a lot, but living in Anchorage, there are too many city lights. Have to get out in the boonies to see the good displays. Before we had kids, my hubby and I quit our jobs, went to a remote lake [fly-in only - float plane] and built a log cabin there. Now did we ever see the Northern lights out there! Positioned a big window to the north up in the loft just for the Northern lights. Was a gorgeous place to spend some time, but we found we missed people, movies, restaurants, and wanted to start a family, so we gave it up.

Still have right of first refusal should our friend ever decide to sell.

When I posted it had started to get a bit dark as it had been cloudy to begin with. I find that the days definitely are getting shorter and I do hate that. Before I know it by the end of next month it will be dark by 4:30 PM as we would have moved the clocks ahead by one hour.

What time does it start to get dark in Alaska?

Right now, it gets dark around 8 pm. In December on the shortest day [Dec. 21st] it will be dark at 3 pm with sunrise at about 10 am. During the summer it is great. Longest day [June 21st] we have sunrise at 3 am and sunset at midnight! Had to put tinfoil on the bedroom windows in our 1st apartment so that I could sleep.

Peggy did you get my email about your avatar?

You can right click and "Save Picture As" this one if it's acceptable.

You are the best! That is a great picture. I just read your e-mail and just "right-clicked" and I had an option of Save image as, and saved it to my hard drive. So a bit later I will go back to the instructions and see if I can use it.

Thanks again. Wish I was that smart!

Umm yeah, you do that. hehehe

Hey you can go to that page that Nancy posted and save whatever one you like best and I can resize it for the av. I like that one the best myself, but your taste and mine may be different. Just let me know whenever.

Look at that!

Look at that!

It worked!

Thanks, Ross! Now what do I owe you for the computer lesson?
