It's dreadfully slow here on the weekends and it seems more so this weekend.

What is everyone doing on this 3 day weekend?

I'm trying to help with lawn work and cooking out. Nothing special. How about the rest of you?

Hey Ross,
I also noticed that it was slow. Everyone must be getting in that last summer out of town. I am holding down the fort while my wife and some other women are in Breckenridge doing scrap booking for the weekend. Have A Good One!

I'm just puttering around and watching Joe's shingles dry up. That's like watching paint dry on the wall, LOL.:p

Hi Everyone!
I have to work this weekend. I will be off on Monday. The whole family may do something then. Maybe go to the pool and cook out etc... A last summer hoorraahh! Everyone have a nice and safe weekend.

I have very few plans either. I have to have labs drawn at the hospital this am and then I think I'll just breathe, walk, nap, take a few pain meds and start all over again.

I had a wonderful night but am not up for Church yet this AM. This morning my pulse is nice and regular and I think I'm back in sinus rhythm. :D

You all have a wonderful day okay?

Considering going to Lowe's this afternoon and purchasing lumber by the cubit........several pairs of animals waiting in the driveway............

Good Morning, all

Same situation here in the east. Going grocery shopping this morning and then hitting Home Depot.....picking up paint. Had to buy a new basement refrig because the old one (30 years) gave up the ghots last week.....and we NEED a basement refrig....Good deal at PC Richards, $299 and they take the old one up and out....we certainly can't do it.

Today it's zucchini spaghetti for dinner, really easy if anyone wants the recipe and quite tasty.

Went out Friday night with friends for dinnie, but plan to stay close to home because the roads around here are HORRENDOUS with all the summer people out for the last weekend. Unfortunately now the last weekend extends through pumpkin picking time in October....grrrrr!!

Betty, so glad you're doing well and are back in sinum rhyhm....you go, girl!

Be well, all.

Ev

Is this any indication

Is this any indication

of the excitement generally enjoyed by us vr.commers? And are the reunions this exciting???:D

I'm sitting home trying to get over a nasty little summer cold; in the last 3 weeks I've had a bout of summer complaint, a really nasty virus (high fever, nausea and screaming headache), cellulitis in my leg, and now this cold. Went out and got some non-Vit.K vitamins and hope that my immune system got weak because of the heat, or whatever. Because the heat finally broke and it's raining.

On the plus side, my INR's been great. Go figure.-

Hey, Betty - you sound great, I love your picture, and I'm so glad all is well. I'm sure you're dragging; you probably shouldn't be going to church for a bit just a avoid catching anything. That whole large group thing was an issue for me. Take good care of yourself.

Lordy were an interesting bunch. All this activity is just wearing me out.

Les what are you building now? Animals two by two? You flooding or something there?

Daughter/husband arrived from Atlanta about 12:30 Sat a.m. Got stuck in a pile-up (not them, tho) bunch of traffic on the way. Son-in-law spiffed up the lawn (it's a lot - acreage), the other daughter, the Atlanta daughter and I went to book store, liquor store, WalMart, vegetable stand, to see my brother at assisted living house, played cards (Phase 10), watched TV. That was yesterday. Today they re-did my bedroom - took out my Jenny Lind bed frame, bought and installed just a frame, blew sand off the porch, fixed breakfast and then they took off for parts north. The other daughter went west and I am all alone, except for Miss Sally Sue, Trouble, Penelope and Priscilla. We plan to take a nap and come back to bore you some more later today. We don't know about tomorrow yet. Might bore you then, too.

I would actually prefer being with Les and Evelyn because those are my favorite kinds of stores. Take me to a hardware store and just let me go.........

Hi All,

Lets see, so far, I have made potato salad, cucumbers & onion salad, have baked beans baking and my brisket has been on the grill for 3 hours. Most has been made lower in sodium except the baked beans, I cheated and used canned pork n beans so very little of those for me. :( :( :( :(

I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday,

Hmmm...well...guess I'm sorta in between on these.

Friday...freekin' worked, went to a swimming party for my Dad's softball game (yes, some nice scenery...LOL), then car show

Saturday...cleaned one of my baby girls (er, Monte Carlos, for those that don't know me ;)) during the day....then car show in the evening!

Today...church (I was the worship leader...and boy was it a hoot), then a car show (sorta...it is raining here now...arg), and, in an hour or so, a memorial service for a family friend who died earlier this week from lung cancer....... Then, tonite....up for grabs ;)

Monday...am scheduled to clean one of my parents' cars, but the forecast has changed...to rain all day long...arg arg arg. So, not sure yet..........tho, I have some thing I should get done....lol.

Peace...Always,

Y'all Come

Come on over!! If you jump on the plane right now you might make it! Just fair warning it's Texas Style BBQ:D :D

About three hours gardening on Saturday.

A little gardening, woodworking, stuffed peppers on Sunday.

Monday will be a drive about the beautiful Thumb of Michigan.

Took a 4 hour trip up to a itty, bitty place called Oak Grove Heights to visit my step-daughter. It's up in Northeast Arkansas and has a population of about 730. Got back today, had company, and taking the rest of the day nice and easy. Tomorrow, my hubbie is going to mow the lawn before we get lost in it.

Not much here, either. Wrote a novel, built some homes for the homeless, finished my degree in Advanced Greek Mythology, built a custom brass inlaid mahogony conference table, etc. Same old, same old. Bor-ing.

You sir, need to start making more efficient use of your time. Maybe try doing something constructive instead! :D
