How many hit the wall not expecting to and say, HOLY &^%@ ... ? I know I scoff and make jokes about labor and taking a cab to the toilet but the truth of the mater is that I am fairly active ... I had to replace a mailbox and post so off I go to the store to choose what I need for what I think will be a fairly easy quick job:rolleyes: ... new box, prefab cedar post and support, 2” screws, you know, all the crap you need for a quick simple job .... out come the posthole diggers and the cordless drill that I thought was charged .... you know cedar is hard to screw 2” screws into by hand with no pilot holes ... now it is 90F with 48% humidity and no breeze. heat index 98F ... It kicked my ass:mad:

Please don’t get me wrong, I am thankful that I am able to do such a job because I know many can’t ... it’s just I don’t know if it is age (53) and that I am in worse shape than I thought or if is AVR related or all rolled into one ... according to my cardio I have no heart damage and my heart is the correct size .... I guess it’s just when age, mortality and all that %$#* jumps up and slaps you in the face it can be a bit of an eye opener .... screw it, time for some brownies and banana pudding....:p

End rant.....

sheesh, that heat would drain the energy out of anyone!!

That's South Carolina in the summer, and it can get worse ... any cool breezes I get I'm sending to SuperBob and Sadie:D ... they just moved to the coast and it can be a bear there ... Hm ... I must be a poet and don't know it:D:p

Yep - I'm guessing the heat too. Apply banana ice cream or pudding as needed.

I hear ya my friend!

About 3 weeks ago, I got out there, all brave & all, took my hedger out from the shed & decided, what the heck, I was going to trim the sages around our yard myself! Dang it, after all, I have always done most of the landscaping chores around the house. In fact, I even put in all of our landscaping down, rock by rock, when we had our house built in 2000.

Well, I trimmed one sage down & started to do another one when I started to feel my back from my shoulder blades down, start to hurt like a giant charlie horse! By the time I reached the front door, I was practically crawling. I was laid up for over a week hurting so bad I thought I'd end up in the hospital! :(

Needless to say, I called maintenance people to come & do the hedges & some other chores.

So from now, when I get to feeling like I can take on the world, I know, "it's ONLY in my head!"

So, leave everything for manana & enjoy your banana pudding & brownies! Life's too short! :)

Sound as bad as me Cooker. Here I sit with a nice shiny new a/c unit ON THE FLOOR. It's been too hot and humid to work at putting the thing in. I'm starting to kick myself for not just getting the same size unit since I now have to modify everything to put this thing in.

Good advice, oh wise one;) .... I need to get back to my walking but I’m working anywhere from nine to twelve hours a day, not chopping wood or anything like that but I just can’t get out of the recliner once I’m down ....

Yes, slice, dip, lay them out on wax paper lined trays and freeze like that.
Then pick them off and store in zip loc freezer bags in freezer.

ummm, that sounds good. I'm on my way to town so I think I'll pick up some naners & chocolate & try that. Sweet chocolate or unsweetened Bina??
