Well the luck streak continues. Been having a lot of pain from one particular part of my gum. Ran my finger across the back and I feel the whole inside wall of the first molar next to the wisdom tooth still there. I called the Doctor and she's trying to tell me I'm nuts and I'm not nuts. I went to go get some orajel to numb the gumline so eating is at least tolerable and my power steering hose blew. Now I have the car to fix and an appointment to do over the next two days. I'm really really ready for a nice nervous breakdown. It's long over do!

Damn cars!...I had a slender piece of tooth left over when I had my teeth pulled. Luckily I was able to get it out myself with tweezers. It wouldn't surprise me to learn you had a bigger fragment left over. It should slip right out with any luck.

I can't believe that MORE crap has happened to you. And I hope that they get the rest of that tooth out of you ASAP so you don't have to deal with anymore unnecessary pain than you have to.

By the way, I thought that they were going to yank all of your teeth out at once? In any case, please know that I am sending out the strongest prayers possible for all of the bad luck to come to an end and this tooth issue gets resolved immediately and pain free.

I say do it. Set aside this weekend to just wig out and eat chocolate/fudge/caramel ice cream out of the container and just lay on the couch the whole time with a bunch of rented videos. I think you should do whatever the hell you want, man. You just had big time surgery on your mouth.

Just kidding -- I'm experiencing a smaller version of your problem, with some temporary bridgework in place. The original that is being re-built was trouble-free and painless. This temporary piece is a real pain, in more ways than one!

Keep after them. Make them get it right. Then you can get back to your regularly scheduled life.

After further finger investigation and probing, she might be right. It may just be my jaw bone, but something there is certainly making the gum very tender. I can't feel any movable bone, but it doesn't mean that their isn't any. I already found a couple fragments.

Dear Ross, hope you are feeling better today and finding some good foods to satisfy your hunger. Are your gums healing? I remember I had a back tooth pulled once and I ate grits(a southern thing) and one got in my gum and caused a dry socket. Be careful what you eat thats grainy until you are healed.

Last March my hubby had some molars removed and the very far back one was lodged in the jaw bone also. It was difficult to remove and he said it felt like this jaw was messed up. Everything healed and he is fine.

This is quite common. When any tooth is removed, the bone has to "remodel". Think of it this way. You have bone that has socket holes that used to be filled. Now the sockets are empty and there's nothing to keep them from collapsing (especially if there are hairline fractures in the bone from the tooth removal). As this happens, some bone will break off (it's completely normal) and "float" to the surface. Many times, you'll be able to pick them out of your gum tissue yourself...sometimes the dentist has to numb you a bit and retrieve the fragment.

My best suggestion is just what you've done...ora gel to numb the gum tissue, and when you're allowed, warm salt water rinses...a good pinch of salt in 8oz of warm water...no more that 1/8 - 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

My thoughts are with you big guy. VR wasn't the same when you were out of commission.

Superbob get this. Food is more important to me then those sexy women are at this point. I can't seem to get passed Cream of wheat or similiar consistency's so far. Rougher stuff just irritates the lining of the roof and then it's no fun to eat at all. I need to quit whining and figure a way to deal with this. I only have 5 more months and 3 weeks to go.

Just got the call on my car. Repaired the broken line but I guess my Rack and Pinion is on it's way out. I hope it'll last a while yet. That'll be another $500 repair bill to take care of it. God I wish I could things I used to do and then I could widdle that cost down to $167.

Over the years we've owned 2 Nissan Stanza cars, they were great until the high mileage caused them some suffering with the Rack and Pinion steering. The repair estimate was high and not worth it so we called the scrap dude. That made me really sad.

This is good and good for you ? I told Mary about it and she said it sounded good and it is!

1. Have Lynn buy some over ripe bananas ? peal and lay on a cookie sheet and put them in the freezer
2. take 2 or three frozen bananas and chop them up and put them in the blender
3. add milk (we use skim) and sweetener (we use sweet&low).
4. Blend and enjoy.

This makes a great low cal banana shake that is very nutritious ? I also like to pour the milk in a cup and pop it in the freezer about 5 minutes prior to making the shake ? seems to help thicken it. Over ripe bananas are cheep and if she does not see any tell her to ask the produce person ? last time I needed some I ask and the guy got me some out of the back and charged me a nickel a pound ? Said he could not give them away but could sell them for what he wanted to. Try it, you?ll like it ...
