I've had similar things happen, nothing like your daughter's missing rings, which is pretty amazing, but things I've looked and looked for and then given up, but returned when I had a "feeling" to return to where to I had just looked, and there was the thing I was seeking. Is it possible that it was overlooked, sure, but the areas were searched thoroughly prior.

And sometimes when I've had a really hard time trying to figure out what to do in a given situation, and felt so alone, there would be a nagging feeling and an urging to "do it this way". It was always the right way, and obtained the desired result.

When I responded the first time, for some reason I thought it was only suppose to be pertaining to a surgery you had. On reading all the comments I have since realized this pertains to any unusual situation, So here goes.

April 10, 1970 at about 2:00am my Mother passed away from Cancer of the Esophagas. All eleven of my sisters and brothers plus my Dad were at Sherman Hospital when she passed on. On the way home from the hospital about 4:30am or so, I saw the most unusual occurance I ever so in my life. There was a BRIGHT STAR in the sky and it had a beam shining down on us as we went home. It was very very bright. It reminded me of someone having a flashlight on, when the beam can vocus on a particular object. In this case it was shining on us, all the way home. Evne the relatives who were heading back to Chicago. I mean you could see the light inside the car. All of my brothers and sisters (somewho were also traveling back to our house) saw the same thing. I remember my sister Gerri and I bringing the subject up first when we went back to the house. Plus her and I were talking about it in the car. We were all talking at once because when we reached home, the Star with the beaming light was shining down on our house where we lived in Streamwood. I sat outside on the stoop just watching it and for some unexplainable reason I felt such a comfort, like that my Mom had finally gone home and she was safe. When the sun rose the Star was still there but the beam of light was gone. We buried her two days later and until after the funeral , the Star was still there. The night after the day of the funeral, the Star was gone.

So I wondered was the beam guiding her to heaven? Was it guiding us to make sure we all got home safely. Was it Mom at the hand of God making sure we were okay before she made her journey upward? All I know is that it didn't frighten any of us but rather made us feel comforted. Call it what you want but I never saw anything like that before that or since then.
