Congratulations on your remarkable progress! Unfortunately, once skin is stretched, it can't return to normal, especially as we age. There are some creams that promise to help, but as far as I know, none of them really work that well.

Oh well, thought I would ask. I'll just wear sleaves to hide my wings. As far as the cream I would have to buy it by the gallon jug! !:):)

I don't know of anything beside surgery to help with the xtra skin and I think they want you to be close to your weight goal before they do surgery so there isn't more later. I do know of one person that had surgery to remove all her extra skin after she had gastric bypass surgery, and I don't know if she ultimately did it, BUt she was talking to a burn center about donating the extra skin to help burn patients that needed grafts

Donating the skin, heck I could donate a old body. I've lost enough to make another person ! !:D:D Since I work at a hosptial I thought I would just keep my ears and eyes open and see what doctor's and nurses say about the procedure. I still have 50 to lose and as slow as it's come off, this would be sometime next year.

I just LOVE you you always make me smile and when I think of your life it is even more amazing how wonderful your attitude and humor are.

Glenda, I will go on a fair ride, ride in the car and even on the bush hog because I love you.

take care with this. we here are very aware that this spider is not our friend and try hard to avoid them if at all possible. Thinking of you - and prayers.

Boy, it's good to see this forum on again. I MISSED YOU GUYS!!

Regarding the spider bite, it is completely healed! ! But now I've come down with a nasty case of poision ivy. I was clearning out the fence line behind our house. I saw this vine mixed in with the weeds but I sure didn't think it was poision ivy. WRONG ! ! :(:( Oh, my gosh, on top of all the breaking out and itching I have developed an allergic reaction to it. My eyes swelled shut, I had it in my ears, the roof of my mouth, up and down my arms and especially in places I would rather not say. I tried to work Thursday night but came home early. Friday morning when I woke up with my eyes swelled shut. I knew I was in trouble so I called the doctor and he got me in immediatly. On top of this I had also got a yeast infection in places, under places, you name it Nevertheless I was miserable. The doctor put me on some very strong medicine (two kinds orally) and some medicated cream for the poision ivy and some different cream for the yeast infection. I started clearing up almost immediately. I've just got a few spots of poision ivy left on my arms and around my wedding ring finger. I couldn't take a steroid shot because of the cancer chemo drug I'm on. Some many medicines interfere with it and I have to have the "Gleevec" to stay alive. I called in Friday and told them they wouldn't want me at the hospital. I would literally scare the patients. Boy, there is never a dull moment around me! !:D:D
