General Peeve Thread

I'll have to agree with Wise about cats roaming the neighborhood and crapping in my flower beds.

Pet Peeve or not, but this one too gets my gander up; people who have their stereo's cranked up so everyone can hear it. Either it be in cars or within the surrounding homes - I wish I could just pull the plug on all of them. grrrrrrr

If only my city/Province was like Alberta and have a strict noise bylaw that was enforced, neighborhoods would be so much quieter. Heck, you can't even have a loud muffler in Alberta.

Eating with your mouth open and not using a turn signal are both two of mine. I have one that drives me nuts.......slurping coffee/tea ect.

The electronic era has brought about a whole new set of pet peeves. I've watched people in restaurants text or talk on phones throughout the entire meal. Often it is what looks like a husband and wife and I can imagine that relationship! I realize that some people lead extremely important and busy lives, but they managed to eat without a phone before cell phones were invented!

However, my real pet peeve with the electronic era is when I'm somewhere and someone near me says something that I can't quite understand or that confuses me because I'm not sure what they're talking about. I'm the only one around so they are obviously talking to me. I respond with "Excuse me?" and they give me a nasty look and point to their ear. Apparently I have just "rudely" interrupted their Bluetooth conversation.

I agree with most all your peeves and I can add a few more.
When people say they are going to do something and then never do, and never let you know they change their minds on doing it.....
Talking and slurping with food in their mouth...
Leaving the gas tank on empty.....
Being late for everything....
My list can go on but I'll stop there!!

One of my biggest pet peeves is people eating with their mouths open!

LOL!! My husband hates it when someone makes "smacking" noices when eating or when sucking their fingers after eating finger foods!

A big pet peeve with me is trying to have a conversation with someone who constantly interrupts you while you are speaking! It is at those times that I feel like pulling a Judge Judy & screaming, "will you please shut up & let me finish!"

Other pet peeves found at home are:

1.) Empty milk carton, pop bottles, ketchup, etc., found inside refrigerator;

2.) Empty toilet roll!

3.) Toilet seat left up at night & me falling in when when I go pee! (this should be a the top of my list! )

I have to admit that leaving the toilet seat up is annoying, but just as bad is when someone closes the lid at night. I sit down to pee, realize there's no opening, and hate to say it, but my muscles are shot! Once I'm halfway down, it's too late to change my tactics!
