Way to go Sherry! That is quite an accomplishment! I am accepted into grad school for this coming fall and am hoping to be able to manage the vavle issues and studies at the same time. If you have any tips I would be more than happy to listen!

Sherry,

Congratulations on finishing your masters!

Sherry & Sue: I graduated from Purdue in '75, but spent a lot of "memorable" weekends in Bloomington. You IU girls were a wild bunch.

Sue, I dated a girl from Southport for a couple of years, in fact she was the last girl I dated before I got engaged to my wife-to-be (some details are omitted for my continued safety & well-being...)

And Sherry, as I recall, Bobby tossed the chair that night because he was having a tough time dealing with another loss to the Boilermakers.

And finally: Where was OJ headed in the white Bronco? Bloomington, IN. They would never think to look for a Heisman Trophy winner there...

Ah, yes, it was a well spent youth..........

Mark, you're right. We were horrible that year. In fact, my roommate and I tried to sell our tickets outside Assembly Hall for over an hour but had no takers. We finally resigned ourselves to going to the game. Imagine missing that famous sports moment ;) It's funny, almost all of my family went to Purdue but me. I was the renegade Hoosier.

Evansville

Evansville

Sherry,
I grew up about 90 miles southwest of Evansville--Rosiclare, Illinois. My daughter was born at Welborn hospital . My father was driving to Evansville to catch a flight to Chicago when he suffered the massive heart attack that killed him. I guess you can see there are bittersweet memories associated with the town.
My nephew lives there now, and my son has been offered a job managing a restaurant in Evansville. He's still trying to decide whether he should make the move. What are your feelings about raising a family there? He has a daughter, but she wouldn't start school for several years.

Janie and Mary

Hey, Janie, love that image. I only wish I looked like that :p Hi, Mary. Evansville is a nice city -- 170,00 (rough population), two four year universities, an awesome Catholic school district, lots of shopping and dining, relatively low crime rate. There are several neighboring burbs, McCutchanville, Newburgh (where I live), Henderson, KY, right across the river (where I teach). The first two are a subdivision paradise with great schools; Henderson is a mixture of urban and rural (lots of farming) with great cultural diversity and two awesome yearly music festivals. Owensboro, KY, is just half hour away and has a bustling riverfront with lots of bluegrass festivals and the like. The Evansville area has a few major corporations: Toyota, ALCOA, and Bristol-Myers/Mead Johnson. We moved down here five years ago and have really enjoyed our experience.
