Just wanted to let you all know that I'm leaving tomorrow for some decompression time on the beaches of Florida!!! I'll be back Monday, hopefully tan, rested and relaxed. I'm hoping to see lots of dolphins, find some cool shells and enjoy a cosmopolitan as I watch the sun set.

I've spent 3/4 of the day today on the phone with the insurance company so I'm thinking if I just started flapping my arms I could actully fly down there under the power of my own frustration!

Everyone behave themselves...at least until I get back. Ross, at least try to behave yourself.

Beware of the Jellyfish. They have stinging tenticles. ;) :D

I really envy all of you that can do these things. :(

Have fun..wear lots of sunscreen..I'm itching on my back from 2 weeks ago at beach. Sunburn.  Ross..saw lots of jellyfish washed up on beach..Had to be careful walking my dog. ......Bonnie

I came down here 18 years ago and never left. I'll make you a deal on a slightly used 20 year old snow shovel...

Hey Karlynn
I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing time.
We will try and keep Ross under control until you get back. :p
Take Care

I'm pretty small.... I'm sure I could fit in your suitcase!! :D

Have a wonderful time!!

A : )

If you're going to watch the sun set, then you are surely going to the Gulf side of Florida. Enjoy - it is just beautiful any place on the west coast of Florida. Wave when you go by.

Karlynn, have a wonderful trip! You may get to see more than dolphins. Last weekend there were schools of stingrays feeding near the Pensacola Beach pier and on Tuesday there was a WHALE swimming in the same area! First time I've ever seen a whale up so close.

Have fun..........I just came home Saturday from 2 weeks in Siesta Key, FL. I didn't want to come home. Where in Florida are you going? I loved watching the sun set on the beach from our 12th floor porch at night. It was just so beautiful. A dolphin came right up to my jet ski too! I guess from what I heard he comes up to everyone looking for food. It was amazing to see him up close.

Have a great time! :) :)

Have a wonderful time Karlynn. I loved the ten years I lived in Florida and miss some of the smells and some of the beautiful foliage. Is this trip to relax you before you go to Paris?

Florida sounds beautiful. It is a state I have never been to. Up here we have Orca's (killer whales). I have seen them right out front here on the sound. Unfortunately their populations have dropped as of recent, and there is some concern. What a beautiful animal.

Fun in the sun. I wish I was their! :)

Did someone say Paris?? Gotta decide by Saturday..

I'm back

I'm back

And sufficiently decompressed. The weather was perfect. Got some sun, did A LOT of walking (about 3 miles a day). Didn't see any dolphins, not many birds around, but the sand dollars were everywhere. I've never seen so many.

Now I get to run around like crazy getting husband, daughter and myself ready to head to Paris next Tuesday. All this traveling is completely out of the ordinary for me.

There has been so much to catch up on, just since Thursday, I hope I didn't miss any really important posts.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Welcome back Karlynn!

Sounds like you had a nice relaxing time. :) Though we love our husbands.............it's nice to get away with the girls I agree!

Have a fantastic time in Europe! We or should I say myself.....have been skiddishly debating a trip over in early August for our anniversary. Hubby is all for it. I just don't feel comfortable leaving our daughter behind. Time wil tell  Have fun!

Gina,
I highly recommend a Europe trip. This will be our second. We did a week in Rome and a Mediterranean cruise 3 years ago with our kids. I do understand the hesitancy of leaving your daughter. I always get such separation anxiety, and my kids are young adults now. So I know it will be a tough decision for you. But if you are able to work things out and you feel secure in the arrangements you'd make for you daughter, go for it!

*arm twisting ever so slightly to the right*" :D You make it sound so good Karlynn ;) .

She's already set for the week. My sister owns a childcare center......fun week of day camp with Auntie all penciled in.
Now, if Mom could just "get over it"!
