Plateaus can be good. :) Places to rest, consolidate gains (or loses), before making further progress -- in my case, further losses beyond the 10 lost so far.

Actually, just NOT GAINING is progress for me, esp when there have been CHIPS in the house. :)

Or am I just making excuses ahead of that moment of truth on the scales Monday morning? :D

Ooops..My bad..telling yall to be good.:p Sister call at 9 a.m. wanting us over at her house for a noon cookout..Both of her boys/family were going to be there..and all her Grands. ..So, off we go with no breakfast...so..of course I overdid the eating.. 1 piece of KFC..1 slice of honey-ham..1 weiner..coleslaw and baked beans....but I did play with her Grands for a few hours...and now at home..and still full...I was 8 oz. from losing 2 lbs this week..so still hope for that 1 lb..Monday...:D Making a total of 4 lb loss since we started 3 weeks ago..Cooker..she lives in Walhalla, S.C...and hubby said he could not find the Ga/SC game on T.V.? what;s the score..Go Bulldogs.:D Bonnie

I had a nice Weight Watchers steak and portobellos at Applebees. Meanwhile, I bet ol' Cooker is nervously scarfing those appetizers while sweating USC's upset bid against the Dawgs. Hehehehehehe. :D :D :D

Cooker, I am no expert, but that sounds like a nutritional train wreck to me. :p But fess up: Surely you had a bunch of wings and brew to celebrate after the SC upset of Jawga. :p

Oh man - the wedding was a big huge shrapnel grenade thrown into my weight-loss plan. I'll post the menu later, not now while I'm up fighting off vampires. Actually, the food was so rich, I have a nice case of indigestion, causing some bigeminy that's making me too uncomfortable to sleep. It's just me and Buckley-the-skunky-dog hanging out in the family room.

Nope...no wings, no brews. That might have been a better choice. I did however have a large PJ cocktail before bed:D

Mary? Where is Mary, our referee/consultant? I call a FOUL for use of a foul, toxic substance that induces temporary weight loss --- Prune (ugh!) Juice!   I think a 5-pound penalty per use should be assessed. :p :p :p

Here is is folks, the dinner from the wedding I was at yesterday. I would like to mention before your read it that we did A LOT of dancing. The groom is Jamaican, so lots of reggae music, lots of Motown, lots of really good dance music. It was one of those weddings where the tables were empty and everyone was on the dance floor. So I think I got a lot of exercise. Just CYAing for myself here!:D

Baby Lettuce Salad with Dried Cranberries, Prailines and Camembert Cheese

Pistachio Crusted Chiecken breast with sun dried Cherry Merlot Sauce, served with Butternut Squash Dauphinoise Potatoes and Green Beans topped with tomato Provencal.

From "Eating Disorders Resources":

"Prunes and prune juice are not recommended because the ingredient in prunes that promotes bowel movements is actually an irritant laxative, and long-term use of prunes and prune juice can result in the same problem as long-term use of laxatives."

I rest my case! :)

I have renamed you"Bionic Bob The Bowel Police":D :p :D

That sounds amazing.....complete with crack cake.:) Lucky you!

Karlynn...that sounded lucious. Potatoes Dauphinois......oh yum!!! and with the butternut squash.....must have been comfy food at the max.

Okay, we had a business party to go to. A construction company celebrating 25. It was amazing. At their workshop! with acrobats in the girders all dressed in construction clothes. A backhoe parked in the entry way whose shovel was chock full of ice and bottled northwest beer and wine (I had a half a beer.....why is beer starting to taste good to me?). Adorable food.... teeny-tiny hamburgers with imported cheese and a tiny gerhkin on top...with....tada....sweet potatoe fries! Oyster shooters, salmon mousse and pita crackers, smoked salmon on a stick. There was an oxygen bar!!! I passed on the tutti-fruiti oxygen...but my husband tried it. Who wants to re-experience surgery?? The Water bar was fun.....a dozen kinds of bottled water with grapes frozen in ice cubes, or vegtables sliced in. Of course there were desserts.....heavenly powdered sugar melt in your mouth pecan cookies. And a DJ doing the whoop whoop kind of heavy beat music. My husband didn't get enough to eat so we stopped for sushi on the way home. Crazy, but seemed healthy!! I had 2 pieces of spider roll and more water.

I've had decaf and a bowl of Kashi with soy milk today. I'm going to have that for lunch, too. THen hopefully some grilled fish for dinner with steamed veggies.

I'm not counting on any loss tomorrow, but my week looks pretty free and it has cooled way down in the mornings (shorter days here in the northwest already) so I expect to get out there and work up a sweat this week.

So the only football I watched were the highlights as we were closing down the sushi place last night.

What do ya think of them OREGON DUCKS??? WOO HOO!!!!!!

I'm a Duck!! Never been to a game, but can't escape the local fever when your team beats MICHIGAN!!!!

See ya'll tomorrow.

Marguerite
