No clue this week. I'm sitting in a cabin (with wifi) in the Adirondack Mts.
No scales to be found, nor did I go looking. It's presently raining or I'd be out for a run.
Sounds great Jack.....have a wonderful time!!!

I'm looking down at the scales and it still says 170.
However, I think I just might see a little of the line on the right.
In a doctors office that might be -.02...or not. LOL!
My wife says its all of the cookies I eat and the beer I drink.
I think it's her fault with the great food she cooks.
At least I didn't gain and at my age (66) that's good news.
I've already reported our total losses, but here's the full report.

Whew! I dared to look at the scale this morning and I managed to STAY THE SAME!!! Don't ask me how, since on Wednesday I was up two pounds, but I'll take it!
I also just got back from a 25 minute brisk (for me) walk. I'm sweating buckets now. I'd love to take a dip in a pool... Too bad we don't have one. I really don't want to go to the public pool. Maybe I'll call up my MIL and see if I can go over there this afternoon??? In the mean time, this is the first lazy day home alone I've had in over a month... Part of me says I should use the time to just read and relax, and another part says I should use the opportunity to clean the house... Guess which part will probably win?
Yea! No gain!Okay, I have a confession to make... I've been having cravings lately. For green olives! Don't ask me why. I've managed to go through two jars in less than two weeks! At least I found ones that are low sodium (65 mg vs. the 300+ of most). But still, this craving thing has got to stop! It's one thing when you just eat them with stuff, but when you're standing at the fridge eating them right out of the jar?! Someone help me!
Today I decided to join the "National Body Challenge" on Discovery Health. Mostly because they give you a daily menu to follow and menus to choose from, or you can put in what you eat and it calculates the calories and such for you. It also has suggested exercise. I TRIED to follow the "beginner" exercises and thought my legs were going to DIE!!! But it was kind of fun too. Each day there's different recommendations.
I'm cooking some of their suggestions right now: almond crusted chicken tenders, zucchini pesto, and cucumber salad. When I told hubby what we were having he said "Sounds good!" That completely surprised me. He's usually a one-dish kind of guy. Hope it's good!
Gnuasgal: Olive cravings.... UH-OH 'seems real close to pickle cravings
Niki, thanks for the heads up on that. I joined too! The exercises look great.
Help! Isn't it a proven scientific fact that if you eat a delicacy such as a buttercream batter birthday cake in just small slice increments (albeit many of them), the total caloric consumption is far less than if you had eaten that same amount in one large chunk? Superbob is having the small slices with his morning coffee, and it's a large cup requiring many small slices to reach the desired symbiosis of java and cake.
