Week 11 Weigh-in ~ Just keep losing...Just keep losing...

Week 11 Weigh-in ~ Just keep losing...Just keep losing...

First of all, congratulations to all you "losers" out there:D. Since I just updated my blog, I'll copy and paste my post here...hopefully, it's not too long and boring for y'all.
"Well, believe it or not, I was actually down 2.8 lbs tonight! I was pretty happy with that, especially after the week I had. As I said in the last post, I had a hot dog on Wed., we had ladies night out at church on Friday, so I had some cake there, since we had a birthday girl there. Saturday night, Ruth and her fiance, Dan took us out for Father's day and I had ice cream. We did our usual Chinese buffet yesterday, and to top it all off I had a pork steak and even a mini cheesecake at our Father's Day pot luck dinner at Mom and Dad's yesterday! Just think what I might have lost if I hadn't "indulged".
That's okay. I have decided that if I'm going to stick it out and lose this weight, and then keep it off, I have to be able to enjoy myself once in awhile. If I feel like I'm depriving myself all the time, I won't be able to keep it up. As long as the numbers on the scale keep going down...I will keep "indulging" now and then.
I've had a couple of non-scale victories this week too! I sat in one of the church nursery's rocking chairs the other day, and noticed that my thighs were no longer touching both chair rails, like they used to! Maybe that's not that exciting to most people, but it was to me. Then on Wednesday, I tried on a pair of size 18 jeans that I had saved from the last time I wore that size...quite a few years ago. I got them zipped...and buttoned. Woohoo! They were a little tight around the waist, but I wore them anyway. Friday night, my friend Sarah brought me another couple of pairs of jeans...one of them was a size 16! I can get them on too, but they're not exactly comfortable yet. I started out in a tight size 22, and right now I'm wearing a very loose size 20. I really need a size 19 right now. Those new jeans are going to be my inspiration for the next week or two.
I have stated that I would like to be down to my "target weight", (10 % off) by my birthday which is two weeks away. I am within 4 lbs of that goal right now. I can do it. I know I can."

Not at all boring Jeannie....thanks for sharing:D....I know what you mean by non-scale related victory...when I noticed I did not fill the recliner as much, dropped a pant size.......there is a lot more to losing than the scales.....keep up the good worked and be careful of those "indulgences".....they sneak up on me:eek:....especially when I indulge one week with no apparent impact on the scale...I say "it did not hurt last time so here's how":D:D....but we have to treat ourselves, if we didn't we would go nuts!!!....again, way to go:D

I've been remiss in my participation in the Throw Down and feel like I've been traveling since Christmas! (Because, off and on, I have been!) I have been weighing in as close to Fridays as possible, just not reporting. I'm down 39 pounds now to 140 from 179, so the weight loss is going well.

I hope all is well with Cooker and the basal cell business and have noticed that the chimp, Wise and Cindy, SuperBob and Sumo are steadily dropping the poundage too. Sorry if I've missed anyone--I know Mary, Betty, Karlynn and Niki are still plugging away and experiencing their own successes. Keep up the hard work everyone!

Sumo, I am packing up the guide boat and heading off to the Adirondack Park myself on Friday, so preparations for that trip are what drag me away from the computer this time! Here's hoping for sunshine and calm waters!

HOLY SHIP!!!!!....that dad blasted snack man just loaded the snack machine with Zero bars!!!!!:eek:.....one of the Chimp?s all time faves??SuperBob...... I need super powers to pass this test:eek::D

First of all, a special WOO HOO for Dina! Getting that first 1.5 lb loss is awesome. Good for you.

Also, equally important, are congrats to PJ and Weekycat. You're both doing awesome.

Lastly, to Cooker, ZERO does not mean zero points.:p;) However, if you do eat it, enjoy the heck out of it! :D

I'm submitting an early partial report. The reason why is I can't wait until Friday. We're excited! We both lost 10% of our initial weight. That's a total loss of 18.8 for Cindy and a total loss of 20.6 for me. So, I guess this is a Celebration Post; if there are any penalties for Celebration, then Bubba "bring it on!"
