I'm down two pounds, it was three but I must have bumped into someone and had a transfer:p ... I hope all you loyal ThrowDowners have had a good week, feeling good, had a chuckle or two, been encouraged and encouraged someone ... I'm happy to report the loss but I must confess that I have not been eating enough, been so busy and by the time I get settled it's late and I just have a lite snack ... I just need to take time and smell the roses, or banana pudding:D

Starting Weight: ...233
Last Week: ...............192
This week: ................190
Total Loss: ..................43

Good job, Cooker. When I weigh later on, I hope I find that I'm the person who received the pound loss transfer!

EEEEEKKKKKKK!!! Another Thursday already? Superbob is wondering how it came to this point -- that a Chimp comes swinging into his life precisely as a pendulum to remind The Man of Steel that he needs to shed some weight.

Good job, Cap't Cooker with the two pounds' loss.

Superbob has yet another doctors appointment in an hour so he thinks he'll wait to see what the dreaded Doctor's Scales say first and then weigh tomorrow. Wonder which of the catalogue of ailments the Doc will focus on today -- he has so much choice. :(

SB ... wishing you a good report ... I find that my doctor's scales read more due the fact that the scale is in the hallway outside of the exam rooms and they refuse to let me weigh ala natural:rolleyes::confused: ...

Yes, after checking my scales this am, I also think I will report in tomorrow. So far it looks as though my swimming has resulted in my being water-logged rather than more svelte.
Cooker, can we have another bump-in so I can garner more of your weight loss?

Congrats Cooker on the two pound loss. Please please please don't bump a pound this way. I did a good job bumping into potential pounds yesterday. EEEEK!

Superbob's bloodwork results are near-perfect, but that's not good enough for his doc, who is talking up a refresher course in diabetes management, another office visit in a few months, new med to tweak thyroid etc etc. Perhaps he thinks "near-perfect" is not good enough for a Superhero?
Superbob guesses it's a blessing, on the whole, to have such an attentive doc. Yet he doesn't say much about weight -- Superbob is usually the one who brings that up. Oh well, SB has used his amazing powers of perception to conclude that there is a close correlation between weight/fitness and virtually all aspects of health. And so to The Throwdown...:D

weird.......my msgs are here, but computer took me to a blank page with some IE story.
quick reply works fine.

I have the same problem - you think your post didn't get posted, but it actually does but then it can't redirect you and I get some weird message I can't remember, but my memory may be refreshed in just a second as I press submit.

Cooker - GOOD JOB!!!! :D If there were a 'clapping' emoticon I'd insert it here. I am afraid I may have found your 2 lbs... could have something to do with Tex-Mex and 2 margaritas on Monday night.

I'll pray for a miracle and post my numbers tomorrow. Good luck at the doc's SB!! Be sure you have emptied your pockets of all items and think light when you step on the scales.

Okay, I just tried to click on the "Reply to Thread" button and only this 'Quick Reply' Box came up.
Not sure how this is going to post - BUT what is this IE story/stuff you guys talk about?

P.S.
I click on "Reply to Post" twice. First time didn't do anything, clicked it again and it posted.

Superbob could claim a fraction of 1 pound loss this week (and he realizes that converted from mere-mortal weight to steel weight, that would seem a lot  ); however he is reporting no change, in hopes of building momentum for a bigger loss next Friday -- which will be just FIVE DAYS BEFORE SAINT PADDY"S DAY -- begora!

Superbob's cumulative loss on the New Year's to Saint Paddy's Day race: 7 pounds.

Superbob has made a pact with his doc to eat more of the type 2 Superfoods: beans, dark green veggies, citrus fruit, berries, sweet potatoes, tomatoes (if a real one could be found this time of year), fish high in omega-3 fatty acids, whole grains, nuts, and fat-free milk. This will mean cutting out some of the white stuff -- pasta, potatoes, white bread.

Wish him steely resolve! :D

Hey Superbob, you are averaging almost a pound a week. That's pretty good!

After a long agility trial last weekend where Jet and I went 0 for 6 runs (phooey), I got down to 132, my WW goal weight (personal goal wt. is 129). But thanks to sour cream chicken enchiladas with the gals from work yesterday, I've popped up 1.5 to 133.5. Maintenance is a never ending battle.

Oh well, I only get a restaurant meal once every 2 weeks on average, and I can't be antisocial all the time just to stick to my diet.

This weekend holds lots of chores and errands, plus dog training, and maybe a meal out with hubby in celebration of our 30th anniversary (actually the 16th, but we've got agility trials and obedience trials the next two weekends). I'll be MIA next Friday 'cause of the 3 day agility trial. Even old dog Tank is coming along, to march in the Agility Veterans parade - there's never a dry eye in the house when they finish that annual event! Poor Hubby gets left home alone too often during show season.
