Hi Wise

I'm a 3.....shows the whole picture....he's working yet he's relaxed. don't like 1 or 5 (i think) because of the background. 3 focuses on the dog....

Let us know your decision.

It's like a Miss America contest!!!!

These are all great pictures. Iphoto has an option that allows comparison of photos in a very helpful way (I think). It allows you to place two pictures on your screen and then conveniently & quickly keep flipping chosen pictures (ok I don't know how to explain it, but I like it). So I have been flashing pictures back and forth. Purely as a picture, pup 2 is my favorite. For your calender purposes, I think pup 5 is very attractive, and tells a story that you don't get with pup 2. The light reflected off the tile makes the rest of the picture a little dark. That kept it (pup 5) from being the clear (in my humble opinion) winner. if you have the software to do it, you might try making the whole picture lighter. If you have a mac, there is a little box titled "adjust", and you just slide the bar. I am sure there is something similar for a PC.

Pictures 1 and 6 are very interesting to me. If your camera has a portrait mode, I would love to see a little more light on Perry, and a blurring of the windows in the background. I think there is a lot of potential for that shot.

I guess all that was pretty wordy. For your purposes, I would choose pup 5.

Thank you so much for your comments, Dennis. Combined with everyone else's opinions, this has been very very helpful to me. I'm probably going to go with pup 5 and see how it goes. I may try to lighten it a little, but I have little time to play with. If AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHER was in the dictionary, my picture would be beside it. I have bad timing; so to get any good ones at all, I was pleased. I'll also play with 1 and 6; I also like that spot.

I made my submission to Guide Dogs for the Blind. I submitted pup #5. They said they wanted a candid, non-professional shot. That's certainly what they got. If Perry's photo is chosen they will inform us by the end of the month. If it's not chosen, then it will be part of a slide show on the GDB website in May.

Everyone's comments made me look at each photo and realize why your favorites were the right "one". You help me have so much fun, thanks.

Wise
