You responded to my quote saying that a person who tested weekly STILL had a stroke. I didn't really mean that it scared me - it concerns me.
I knew a man who didn't want to live, and stopped taking warfarin - and eventually got a stroke and died.
I certainly do NOT live in fear about taking warfarin, or about having had AVR. Taking warfarin and testing my INR is no problem - just part of my routine. I have no fear about it ... and others who regularly test shouldn't either.
