I agree with you, Lyn. i was just trying to clear up what I felt were some possible misconceptions being put out there regarding studies in general that might cause confusion and/or mistrust. these studies are really regulated down to the nth degree in so many ways, by so many people, and as you suggest, one would have to study the actual protocol (which would NOT be available to the general public - only to the investigators) to make an informed opinion of the study.
