I was only able to stay in the hospital for 4 days-went home on the 5th. I begged for an extra day-would have begged for a week but the food was so bad. I was told that there was no reason for me to stay. I thought OHS with emrgency trach was a good reason but insurance did not. I had a rough few days when I first got home. Hopefully Deb, you will feel much better having those extra days as an inpt. Praying you will be ready to go on Monday,

I heard from zipper this afternoon and she's feeling well. She's lost over 23 pounds of water weight since Thursday so she's much lighter on her feet. She's dreading the 3+ hours driving home but her DH will stop and let her meander as much as she needs to. The echo's a go for tomorrow, here's hoping sooner rather than later so that they both can be enjoying a lovely Ukrainian Baba's (Deb's mom) lunch of perogies and some ham kielbasa sausage.

Some people do better at home some don't it just sucks that the insurance companies don't care which is wich. I hope Deb gets home soon.
