Wondering about Betty!

I have been wanting to post regarding Betty for a few days now, but was hoping that we would hear from her or her son by now!

I just want to know how you are doing Betty!! Please let us know!

Hi folks,

I couldn't stand the suspense! While in Chicago Betty and I exchanged phone numbers. I called and talked to her husband Tom. I will try to get this right.

He said that she threw a clot. They are now trying to stabilize her blood. She couldn't hold down any coumadin. She is only up to an INR of 1.4 so she can't come home yet. She is feeling fine and appreciates everyone's good wishes, thoughts, and prayers.

He expects her to be able to come home in the next day or two.

Thanks so much Shirley for calling Betty's husband!! You know, I have her phone number, also, but I was afraid to call as I have never called her before and didn't want to disturb anyone!!

So she is having the same trouble as I am with her INR, huh? I hope they can get things straightened out quickly for her, as she has two mechanical valves, right (?).

She is a strong lady of faith and I know she will get that INR up quick and be home soon!

We are all thinking of you and praying for you, Betty. We miss you on the board. Post as soon as you can to let us know that all is okay!!
