Our daughter Stephanie noticed Ellie was pretty quiet. Here is what she found-Ellie giving a beauty treatment to her black lab, Toby. The same dog who swam around in the ocean with Ellie on his back, holding onto his collar. (Under close parental supervision). This is the dog I always think of as the "Noble Toby". He will stay there as long as she wants him to.

GREAT picture!!!

Retrievers are one of the best breeds for this kind of thing; endless patience. My daughter used to "dress up" our chocolate labrador and our Airedale.
And when I was a child I used to dress up my German Shepherd.

Cute picture, Dennis- glad your daughter caught it. The only thing better than a dog to give a beauty treatment to is a grandma. My girls gave me one when I visited a few weekends ago- they combed shampoo mixed with water through my hair- good thing I didn't get caught in a rain storm before I had a chance to wash it out!

GREAT PIC!!! They are the best, aren't they!!! Tyce has a tee shirt that says: "The more people I meet, the more I like my dog!" He believes it, too.

It's amazing how tolerant dogs can be of children, huh?! Love the pic, Dennis.

When I was a boy, our chihuahua Lady used to sit by my baby niece and "guard" her sort of. When my niece got a little older that chihuahua would let her pinch her, poke her eyes, twist her ears, etc. But, if someone came to the door Lady was ready to eat them.
