I saw a posting by Praline recently on other thread. She said that she started back to work this past Monday. I am assuming that is good news.

that is good news, Jim. Praline had her surgery, then her husband got ill and passed away just recently. Yesterday was her first day back to work after the funeral. She posted in the thread about Ross' hospitalization. Thanks for noticing.

She sounds good.

Here's Praline...

Thank you for asking about me. I am as okay as okay can be at this point. I did go back to work on Monday.Work went fine...it is very hard to think about anything but them when you are dealing with a bunch of first graders.

But today is my last day this week. I have tomorrow, Good Friday, off and then next week is Easter break. We always get this week after Easter off. I have a lot of things to do this next week. I just got death certificates so I will do all that runnung while I am off.

Tonight my friend from my post Katrina school came over right after school. We sat around and talked for a long time then went to Outback and got some dinner. We spent about 2 hours reminiscing about the good days and John. She is going to try to come back one day this week while we are off.

The house is SO empty. It feels so strange to get home and there is nobody there. Nobody to share my day with, nobody to do things for, nobody to take care of....nobody to care about how I am doing....:(

Praline, of course you know that your "vr.com family" cares about how you're doing. This certainly isn't the same as a loved one at home for sure. I can't imagine your void, really...but I can pray for you and will continue to do so.

I'm glad that your friend was able to come visit and that you both had a good talk. I find that when someone passes on, it helps me to just bring up their name a lot and reminisce. However, I have no idea what it is like to lose a dear husband. Remember, he is only a breath away from you - he will be near always, even though his body is absent. God give you peace and diminishment of your sorrow with time.

Praline, we are more than willing to "share your day". If you feel like it, type away and know that there are so many reading it and caring for you.

I think your time spent with those youngsters at school will do wonders for you...my mum was a teacher for over 40 years and I know how much good the kids did for her...

sending love and prayers...I think you are doing pretty good...
