Fellow Biker

I discovered Banff Canada and New Mexico on bicycle trips my wife & I put together years ago. Every vacation was a bike trip. If you do come this way sometime, bring your mountain bike. I am getting a little old, and mine pretty much hangs in the garage. But, while tooling around old mountain roads on my Jeep Wrangler or Honda ATV I have found some great places for mountain biking. I could pretty much promise you would have the road to yourself.

Next year

Next year

I think I may need to visit this next year. Being in MN it would nto be a stetch to get there....it is breathtaking. I will let my girls take me to this one since they would love this to.

One place that never disappoints me is sitting by Vermillion lake looking across at Mount Rundle-one of the beautiful mountains in the world.

Monaco for the Grand Prix. Stay on a yacht in the harbor, go to the Casino and have a drink at the Tip Top bar where all the drivers used to hang out back in the 50's and 60's.

Then hang around for a few weeks to watch the Tour de France and drink lots of French wine before heading home.

This sounds the best so far!

Right now...anywhere but where I am right now (let me set the scene, at my desk, trying to eat my Lean Cuisine that keeps getting cold because the phone keeps ringing and people keep coming into my office and I THINK I have a desk under the mound of paperwork and blueprints and contracts on my desk...

All time favorite place - sitting on the bank of the South Fork of the Eel River outside of Redway, California, looking up at the beautiful old growth Redwoods in Whitmore Grove...

Pam,

Pam,

I would like to see the Redwoods again in CA also. Their beauty is breathtaking. In fact, I would love to retire in Northern California, but I don't think I will get Wayne to go along with my idea.

On the top of my list of places to see (that I have never been) is Paris. Then England/Wales. Israel and Egypt. Savannah, GA....

We just got back from a week's trip to North Carolina (The Outer Banks). So beautiful there. We also passed very close by where Betty and her husband live. Such a beautiful part of N.C. - Betty you are lucky to live in such a wonderful place.

Me too! I want to go to Tuscany and rent a villa and paint for awhile, and go into Florence a few times and see all the renaissance marvels!! Also, I am thinking about going to Iceland for my birthday in July. Someone above mentioned wanting to go. It's a beautiful place with incredible scenery! I recommend it! :D

My vote is for HELL!!

My vote is for HELL!!

See, my line of thinking is thus:

I've always wanted to go to Hawaii............never been there and probably won't ever get to go!

I've always wanted to go to Alaska............never been there and probably won't ever get to go!

I've always wanted to go to Venice and then Rome...........never been there and probably won't ever get to go!

I've always wanted to go to Tahiti...........never been there and probably won't ever get to go!

Soooooooooooooo, maybe, one of these days, hopefully reflecting back on this from somewhere up above, I can say, "Yep, Hell - I always wanted to go there, but never got to go!" :D

Hugs. J. P.s. Going through hell here on earth doesn't count.............well, or maybe it did and I've done my time!heehee!
