I spent the morning Driving 4 hours to my parents

house in Maine....Fireworks are a big no no in Maine, so I didn't get to see any, alas, we had brisket and corn on the cob for dinner and I managed to get myself into the lake for a swim after dinner....I found out that I am definitely not as flexible or as durable as I once was as a little shaver, but I still got my swim in. I head home Sunday afternoon....the traffic should really be a killer. Hope all had a really great 4th of July. Harrybaby

Hmmm...I slept in this morning, then drove each of the older 4 MCs this afternoon.

Now, back inside, with the computer and watching the Cubs/Cards game.

Mom and Dad went to watch the city fireworks display, and sis and bro-in-law are at a wedding today. And, of course, my friends are all busy with "couples" stuff...so...home alone.

Here we are, sitting in front of the computer on July 4th. Don't we have cookouts and things to go to and do today?

You are too right ! the problem is I was forced to drink some homemade wine(some...) last night and am still recuperating I didnt realise how
much I had , I mean this stuff was strong !!So Im just watching what fireworks there are from my balcony...me and my cat. The husband wimped out on me. And, We arent alone since we are spending this 4th together
And in alot of ways it definitely beats my other alternative-which includes
2 hours on the road to N.J

4th of July??? Was there a 4th of July? We've been indentured servants all week for my son, DIL and granddaughter. We've primed 6 rooms and painted 3 so far. Glenn has replaced a water heater and replaced the sill plate and supporting members in a saggy garage wall. I've sung just about every song ever written for children and about 1/2 of the ones written for adults. (and loved every minute of it!)
Seeing my Avatar for an entire week has shown me that she is singing her way through life. She is always singing!

I think we're getting sprung tomorrow. But that means I go back to being 9 hours away from my Avatar.

20 years ago I could have driven a Monte into Cort's life but, unfortunately, Cort would have been only about 10 so I would have been arrested.
It is actually too bad as Cort is a wonderful guy and, if I were 20 years younger and Chris were not around, I just might go out and buy another Monte.

Cort - we know there is someone out there for you. Keep on looking as we know you have the faith.

khawk, I think you are correct...and, Ross, even more specifically correct. BUT, to be absolutely certain, she better be driving a Monte Carlo between the years of 1970 and 1988..none of the FWD stuff out these days...he he.
