Hey there,

This is what I'm worrying about. I've had a small cough since surgery, cardiologist knew, primary dr. knows, etc. Well, it has become more pronounced and cardio rehab asked me to go to dr's they also called my cardio, he ordered a chest x-ray. Fortunately I was in hospital when he ordered it, yay, I live in the middle of no where. What really burns my bum is that I had said x-ray on Friday. So I wait, I'm scared, not a peep. I call leave msg. about this x-ray, yada. Finally I call primary. She gets the x-ray and calls me Monday night to let me know I have wee 'bit of pneumonia going on.

This is what has me worried. I am still regurgitating at 1.5. I'm short winded again. I am scared because I don't ever want to go through that again. I had these kind of symptoms for years, and yes little by little they got worse. I know, I'm at fault for how sick I have become. I am currently on prednisone and Zpac for treatment. Rehab wants me to come tomorrow, I figure good sign.

My best, Anna

Hi there

actually I don't think I've heard of anyone not getting their heart fixed. What valve was it? Aortic? What are you considering? Sorry I should probably read some of your other threads, but I thought I'd reply asap with a "It'll all work out fine" reply pronto.

and Ido believe it'll all work out fine :)

Hi

just read your first post ... so now have something more in my head :)

I've had a small cough since surgery, cardiologist knew, primary dr. knows, etc.

well coughs and stuff like that are par for the course ... small bumps in the road

my experience is that if its serious they contact you immediately, if its "all fine, nothing to worry about" then they get on with contacting the people who have to have their life saved.

so there you go ...

that could be just because you were quite unfit earlier (as you admiitted in your post). The fixed valve does not gift you with health recovery in every other organ and muscle :)

head in to the classes they have planned and take it step at a time.

Keep telling yourself "only the good die young" and you've probably been your fair share of "bad"

;-)

Thanks for the reply. It was my Mitral Valve. Was to be replaced, but when in he was able to fix it with that ringy thing. I know I have to relax, It seems though now that I know the symptoms I've become hyper sensitive.

yeah ... its like that "bonk" sound you hear in your car when you go over a bump, which you never heard before only to find your friends tell you that it was there for years ;-)

(PS: I have a 24 year old 4x4 that I've had for 15 years ;-)
