Good morning and Merry Christmas to all.

Thought I'd start a thread for the gifts received today just to see what everyone got.

With a little help from some friends, I bought myself a digital camera.

Now I too, will be able to post an updated family shot later!

I got Lyn one of those Shiatsu back massagers from Home Medics. She comes home everyday complaining of back pain, so I thought that may help.

Over the year, I've gotten way more then I can ever begin to mention and I'm thankful to all for those! We wouldn't be here typing this if it weren't for the kindness and consideration of people like you. Thank you!

Still haven't gotten the one present I've requested year after year for the last 9 or 10. :(

Lets here about yours.

So far, just a sink full of dirty dishes.:D Trying to get lunch ready to take to daughter's.We will open gifts down there..I know, son has bought dad a back massager, too.Goes in recliner?I asked for one of those lamps that give off daylight inside house.Put it over my computer.:D Maybe I can see what I'm typing and reading.:p .... I already got my 2 best Xmas presents this year..My Russian Blessins..:) :) :) :) :) Bonnie

What is the one present you have requested for the last 9 out of 10 years. I may regret asking but it is Christmas so it may be something you can tell us without the computer frying.

PS Didn't ask for anything, don't need anything but do get special gifts all year long from my family. I like those surprises year round best of all. I have raised this family well.

Hi All and Merry Christmas!!!

We, too, got a digital camera and docking station....or maybe it's a printing station, you know how electronically challenged I am. Also got books, Dickens village, Heavy duty sweatshirts, wine, turtlenecks, etc. Good Christmas. Going to my cousin's sons today....I've done two days of dinner parties, and boy am I beat!!!! Thank goodness they're having Christmas dinner this year!!!

Happy holidays to all.....

Perhaps this will answer the question?

Good Morning All and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

Well I got some very special presents from my boys(Jeff is my biggest boy:p )
They made me a Red Wing shelve and a large Red Wing logo made of wood. It is awesome!! I am going to hang the logo in my office and the shelve in the bedroom. I also got a new Red Wing sweatshirt and Christams ornament. There were also lots of gift cards. Still have one more Christmas to go!

Hope everyone has a great day!!

One of the best Christmas gifts is that Joe isn't in the hospital. Those who have known me for a long time, know what I mean. Oh, I shouldn't say too much, the day is still young.:D

One of the companies I work for took the employees to a local amusement park (King's Island) that has an event called Winterfest (Santa, ice skating, trains, parade, etc.). We froze our butts off but had a good time.

Chris and I were in a store at the park that had beautiful porcelain dolls on sale. I fell in love with one of them but things are tight right now and I knew she was "off the list". Later that evening Chris said he needed to find a bathroom and disappeared for so long I was ready to call security.

Yes, you guessed it. That beautiful porcelain doll was under our Christmas tree this morning. This is way up there on the "best gifts ever list", along with getting out of the hospital on Christmas eve one year and my chemistry set when I was 12.:D :D

May you all get what you wanted for Christmas and much, much more.

Hi there to you all !!
Hoping you are all having a wonderful festive season !
We also bought a digital camera for ourselves for Christmas, we got it on a discount special, Kodak Easy Share.
Anyway, we also want to thank you all for the kindness & friendship we have received from VR members ( I don't know how I would have coped without you all !! ) and hoping that 2006 brings us all very much better health and a lot of happiness.
Love & Best Wishes to you all

the Night is young, still...:D :D Maybe you will get that long awaited present.:p ....Bonnie

I got the best gifts of all:

one lovely daughter,
one lovely granddaughter,
four great grandchildren,
one sister and her husband,
one brother,
call from the other daughter and family,
call from nephew.

Still expecting the last gift - call from son and his lovely bride.

We got a Lowe's giftcard for Christmas from my parents, which will be put to good use -- Pergo flooring next month. My two brothers and I surprised my mom and stepdad with a big flat screen tv. Getting them out of the house and dragging that thing in was quite an ordeal. They were totally surprised though and are looking forward to watching their first NASCAR race on a wide screen. It's so much fun to treat the parents for a change. :) :)

Best friend, Roylene, made Lasagne yesterday for her Christmas dinner with her family. She made some for us for our Christmas Eve, which we spent with each other and Ms. Pookie, the cat. Food from a great cook is the very best. Today, we enjoyed the company of our son and daughter-in-love as we ate turkey breast and all the trimmings. (Ross: note, no comma between Turkey and......) Got lots of nice stuff, including a necklace with fairey dust. But, then, the best present any day, any time is to be in the company of those you love and those who love you. We had a few folks drop by who just like us...and that's good too.

Hope all had a satisfying Christmas and that all the days after today are filled with the good things you so well deserve.

Happy New Year
Blanche and Albert

The biggest thing I DIDN'T get this year

The biggest thing I DIDN'T get this year

was an engagement ring because it is already on my finger and so is a wedding band!! I know every Christmas for the last seven (?) I have anticipated opening that box that all women hope for on Christmas - with a shiny gem inside. :) Never happened - bummer.

It was SO freeing and relaxing this year to not have that thought going through my head!!

I guess my greatest gift then, is having a new husband. :)

My husband got me Oprah's 20th Anniversary DVD set, Sound of Music Anniversary DVD, sweater from Eddie Bauer, gift certificate to a clothing store here in Estes, Johnny Cash autobiography, book Christ the Lord by Ann Rice, bath soaps and lotions from Aveda, too much!!

Wayne and I are blessed with one another and our kitties and Stanley, our bichon. The best gift I got this year and every day of the year is the Babe that was sent by God to show us His love for us and that He is with us from now into eternity. We need not fear anything because of that - something I am learning the hard way right now as you know.

I had a wonderful Christmas and Chrintine you are so right. The best gift that any of us could receive was born over 2000 years ago. What a gift! The first six letters of Christmas are the most important.

A great Christmas present was to have all my three children and all 12 grandchildren all together. We had gone to church and then went to my youngest daughter's, had a great meal, Christmas goodies, wassell, you name it, we had it.

I received beautiful fur lined black boots, wonderful smelling perfume, pots & pans, towels for my new bathroom, movie gift certificates and money to spend after Christmas. (which I love to do!)

Also one of the best presents was the results of my FISH test taken a couple of weeks ago. At this time there is no presence of CML (leukemia) in my bone marrow. Otherwise, the cancer is laying dormant. Praise the Lord! !

I got a Seagull S6+ Cedar Top w/ Godin pickup.

Any guesses what this might be?:D

What a Day....

What a Day....

I got to spend part of the day with my brothers and my sister in law and neice or nephew to be, and had dinner before I went to work for the evening...I got a check from my parent's for christmas, a gift card from my brother and sister in law for Walmart, a pair of new sleep pants that I practically live in because it helps keep me from being in too much pain, and I got the pleasure of seeing how happy everyone is here....Again, Merry Christmas !!!! Harrybaby:D :D :D :D

Ann - I loved your post, for without those we love around us, the gifts would be meaningless. In fact, our friends and family ARE the gifts.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
