Donna's recovery and homecoming

Donna's recovery and homecoming

Hi Donna,
Sorry to hear you had some complications. You WILL feel better with time. Just try to be patient. I know it is pretty scary and discouraging at times. I had some complications myself with the PPS and having to have a pericardial window. My surgery was Feb 11th, and I still have some fluid which my Dr. is keeping an eye on. My last echo was this past Tues which was favorable. My next one is the following Tues. Hopefully I will continue to see more improvement. It does take TIME to feel like yourself again. Keep your chin up!

All the very best, Kathy

Welcome home...

Welcome home...

Welcome home Donna. I am praying for a speedy, uneventful recovery for you. As far as food, nothing still tastes good to me and I'm 23 days post-op. My beloved Mountain Dew doesn't taste right still. That's normal though, so don't fret. Sleep hasn't been great for me since post-op, but it gets better as time goes by. I started by sleeping in the recliner for the first week. Then, moved to the bed using pillows to wedge me up. Now, I'm sleeping 'normal' in bed, but I'm a side-sleeper, so that is driving me crazy. Just find a 'comfortable' position and get as much rest as you can. (I say all of this just to say that it is normal and certainly gets better with each passing day)

Take care and God Bless!
