Wow, that is so expensive. I have just checked the BNF (the book used by all British doctors giving drug information) and see that all strengths of warfarin cost about £1, or just over, for a pack of 28. I am prescribed 1 pack of 5mg, 1 pack of 3mg and 2 packs of 1mg each month - I currently have 8 packs of 1mg, 4 of 3mg and I am using the only 1 of 5mg as I take 10mg one day and then about three weeks of 5mg. Because they are POM drugs I have to pay £2.10 for that supply (not each pack, for the whole lot). I will just cross off the 1mg tablets for a few months to reduce my stock, and take 5 tablets a day for a few days.
