Four of our members, actually three and the son of another, are at last coming to the end of their time in our waiting room and are in the process of all the final preparations for surgery.

Next week:

Skimonck's (Cindy) son, Teddy and also Perkicar have surgery on the 10th.

Liza and Mipagan then both have surgery on the 12th.

To all of you,

Those of us who have been through it remember what this time is like for you. It is a time of anxious anticipation and hope that everything goes well and the results will be more than worth the effort. For the vast majority of us that has been the case. I will have all of you in my prayers that you will do well and have very successful surgeries and recoveries.

Remember, it seems like everyone has some unexpected thing come up. Be it a fever, arrhythmia, or whatever it is in your case, just handle it when it comes up and deal with recovery one day at a time. Love and hugs to all of you.

Good luck to everyone with upcoming surgeries! I only know it from a parents point of view but I well know the fear involved in it so all my thoughts will be with you all!! Look forward to hearing about your speedy recoveries!

Love Emma

Thinking of you all!!

Thinking of you all!!

Wishing you all very uncomplicated surgeries and recoveries!! We will be waiting for you all to get back here and join the POST surgery threads!!

Thanks!

Thanks!

You guys have been a godsend. It's nice to know that people care! :)

Liza, T - 6 days

Teddy, Liza, Mipagan, and Perkicar
You will all be in our thoughts and prayers next week. Please have someone post for you if possible. We will be waiting to welcome you to this side of the mountain.

Best wishes and good luck from the resident curmudgeon. My experience, as with many folks here, is that once you go under the knife the absolutely worst part is over - the anticipation. Recovery is pretty much assurred now that OHS has such a good prognosis, and speaking for myslef I just found it to be sort of a painful boring annoyance, nothing to get very excited about. And memories of pain fade quickly - otherwise everyone would be an only child.

Good luck to the 4 of you next week!! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

I wish all of you good luck. I'm sure everything will go just fine. Just think, you will soon be on the other side of this huge mountain. Please let us all know how you are doing postop. We will all be here to help you with anything after your surgeries.

Take Care!
Gail

You are not only going through surgery "together next week", you are also going through surgery with all of us at your side.

We will all be out here praying for you and sending all the hugs the virtual world can handle.

Godspeed and we look forward to hearing from you after surgery.

You guys are awesome. I've only been a part of this a day, and already I feel so supported. Thanks so much.

Cindy/Teddy, Perkicar, Mipagan, and Liza:

Hoping you all only the smoothest, most successful surgeries, with complete and rapid recovery to better-than-ever health status!

P. J.

I want to wish all of you the best of luck. It is a large group for one week. I hope for some boring stories and uneventful recoveries.

Good Journey to all of you and remember, we are all there with you every step of the way. We'll see ya on the other side. ;)

You can officially add us to the list.

My husband is scheduled for mitral valve repair on May 10th.

Wishing everyone best wishes!

Cooper,

I added your husband to our calendar for the 10th. Sorry if we missed the information. As you can tell it will be a busy week.

Best wishes to your husband (and you, of course).

Very best wishes, for uneventful surgeries and quick recoveries,
to you all, having surgery soon.
You'll be in our prayers.
Ernie & Wendy

...and now there are five.

...and now there are five.

Cooper, Your husband (and you as well) will be in my prayers along with the others. It is funny how those who march towards surgery close together also feel a common bond. Melissa M. is my surgery "sister" and she will forever be special to me. Perkicar, Teddy, Liza, and Mipagen's names may be easily recalled names for many years to come.

I hope your husband has a very successful surgery and complete recovery and you find yourself with a new and improved model of a husband. :)
