Thanks about the soy.

I never go near the breakfast bars or carnation stuff. I didn't start reading here about ACT until I learned I was going for second OHS. Before that, I made no effort to learn re: coumadin as I didn't anticipate needing to know. :( I use soy milk in my cereal and eat a fair amount of it almost everyday. I like edamame, soy meatballs, soy nuggets, soy cheese etc My cardio urges a diet rich in soy and at his recommendation (over 4 years ago) I tried it and found I like it.

I read current threads but did not look back to old postings. That is probably why I missed the soy info.

That silly silly dip!

That silly silly dip!

I don't know about the HYBRID veggies. HYBRID is for cars and ENVIRONMENTALIST WACKOS that want to stop GLOBAL WARMING all by then selves.
SORRY, it slipped.
At least you are not talking about the true VEG FROM HELL!!! BRUSSEL SPROUTS!!! They need to OUTLAW them.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm done.

I'm a savory eater. I would rather have brussel sprouts than chocolate. Same goes for asparagus. And my favorite is spinach. My refrigerator is never without it.

... "SPEARGUTS", but the little round things are about the NASTIEST things ever invented.:( I bet GOD lost that bet and had to let the devil come up with that taste. (SORRY!!!) .

Let me guess, you hate brussel sprouts but tolerate okra?

Anyone have any guesses (or experience) on how much K it actually takes to skew the INR? 25%, 50% of the FDA daily recommendation or are we talking mega doses?

I just took a multivitamin that listed K as 15%. Like a newb...I should have read the label...

Thanks!

2.5mg will knock it done fast. Normal RDA of is like 81mcg, so you'd need about 25 times the RDA to bring you down to nothing in a hurry.

i started a diet 3 month ago and i eat alot of green leaves lettuse and brocoli i was doing the INR one time in month but after diet the doctor told me to do it every 2 weeks

We tell people to throw those lists away. It's fine if you just want to see what something contains, but don't try to use them for dieting. It doesn't work.

when I was big into bodybuilding I ate a lot of brussel sprouts. those little suckers taste great with a dash of sea-salt on them and give you a lot of energy for your workout.

I love Brussel sprouts and when I can get into self monitoring I intend to add them back to my diet...

If you listen to the charts, your only allowed about 5 sprouts. Now I don't know about you guys, but 5 is not enough for me. I gotta have at least 10 or more, but I have my diet and Coumadin adjusted for it.
