You focused on the age of the participants, do you have added data on whether the study handles stenosed and scarred valves? I would be interested to know if that's a hurdle being addressed.
Take heart.
I don't have any studies, I just know what the docs told us about this time last year, the trials were pretty new at Boston, but I don't think it has been written up yet. Justin's problem was pulmonary stenoss in his conduit /valve he had gotten about 2 years earlier, but the cath showed his valve (bovine) was perfect but a section of his dacron conduit was blocked on the seam where it was attached to his right ventricle (his pulm valve is actually outside his heart, because of his anatomy he has a section of conduit then the bovine valve then another section of conduit that replaces most of his pulmonary artery up to where it branches off, if that helps. When we found out the problem was in his conduit for sure, I didn't ask any more questions since we decided to have his surgery at CHOP.
I hope that wasn't too confusing, If I find anything new I'll pass it on, Lyn
