When I say my INR is stable, I don't mean it's the same reading each time. It has been as low as 2.3 and as high as 3.9, but I haven't had an adjustment in Warfarin in at least a few years. I personally don't like when it's 2.3, so without telling the doctor, I'll take a little more Warfarin for about a week, which works to bump it back up. Assuming the lower number was caused by something I ate, I then resume my regular dose.

What are you holding at 2.5? Enquiring minds would like to know.

Ctyguy, Welcome aboard! Sorry I missed your arrival! As I read your initial post , I was thinking pericarditis...Then I scrolled down to Gina's reply. I knew you'd get some good replies! While most of us aren't medically trained, there are some real experts here. And there are a lot of just great people here too!:D Take care of yourself, and confirm your caregivers competence whenever you can,(listen to Ross). All the best, Brian
