Time for a Grammar Pet Peeve Thread

Ahhhhhhhrg.

Like finger nails on a chalkboard to me:
"There are many ways that people drive to downtown Chicago."

Sounds much better:
"People drive to downtown Chicago in many ways."


And, I've NO idea why the "there are" usage gets to me so much ... it just does.
