Hey Girlfriend!! How'd I miss your anniversary?!

I hope you had a good one!! We'll have a toast to it when you get to Golden, and a toast to Gina's and a toast to Cort's and a toast to Ross's and toast to mine and a toast to..... we need to make these reunions a few days longer. lol

Congratulations Lorraine! 3 years; whew. I went over 4 last January. It is amazing how time flies. I think our lives truly change after surgery. I don't know about you, but my days are so much more full and few minutes wasted. Keep smiling, and well really party it up when you reach 10 years!

"God Bless you."

Congratulations! I also believe I now have a second birthday every year. My real one - July 3 and my new heart valve birthday - August 29.

In reading your post and those who responded, I'm curious as to how long after surgery did you fully realize that it's over. Meaning - every day I think about my heart, valve and my surgery. It's only been close to 7 months and I am definitely feeling a lot better, however my surgery came so fast after diagnosis and because I didn't have any symptoms, or realize I had any symptoms, the whole event is nothing but a blur.

Per my other post, I am starting to be weaned off of the beta blocker I have been on since post surgery and with the exception of the coumadin, I am not on any other medication.

In reading about the marathon runners, etc. it's truly encouraging, however I'm still afraid to go 100% in anything physical.
