Feline Virus

Feline Virus

Oh dear...is it a terrorist plot? Detroit has been plagued with a feline virus affecting the packs of large cats residing in the arenas downtown...now it evidently has jumped to the birds down the road at the Joe. Of woe is us! Is there any hope?!

Jean,
It's not looking good for us is it:(
Can we really win four straight??

GO AVS!

GO AVS!

Sorry to be posting so late to this very important thread but I had this annoying thing called open-heart surgery last week. Well, even that couldn't get in the way of seeing the Wings-Ducks Game 1. Awesome game and even more awesome score.

I am a diehard Avs fan (no;) but even I have to be careful here. One of my oldest and best friends lives in Detroit and lives and dies by them (we never talk duirng the playoffs - don't want to ruin our friendship) and my admin assistant is an annoying Wings fan from Detroit (if I had only known during the interview!). Still, I won't say anything because the Wings ARE good and it wouldn't surprise me to see them caome back from 3-0.

Well, that sounds good Paul, but I don't know ... I hope they don't fly into a window tonight! Maybe it is on to the Piston's playoffs?

Barbecued Wings anyone?

Barbecued Wings anyone?

Can we really win four straight??
One straight would have been nice! Sorry Jean, Mark & Rich, perhaps some other year.

As for my Leafs - they are really in tough against the Flyers - down to a best of three now. Great series though.

The flyers are back in it

The flyers are back in it

Sorry about the wings, but they've had the Stanley cup a few too many times.

We're still tied with Toronto, and it's getting pretty nasty.
My daughter stayed up to watch the 3 overtimes, she said our ex-flyer Renberg played great, but we were just a little bit better!

Devils will be the next team to beat, Just hope that Boston beats them up a bit, cause they are a hard to to win against.

Pillarpaul,

How are you doing, I was in no condition one week after surgery to be posting, I'm glad you could join us, after the Flyers, Avalanch is the team my husband and daughter watch, they've got some great players.

Take care, don't let the playoff get that B/P up and Heart rate going too fast.

Arrrgh!

Arrrgh!

Ok, I'll at least not have to shuffle between channels watching the Wings and the Pistons...we'll see how long the Pistons can go, but my heart was really with the Wings. What a disappointment! Go whoever...I won't root for anyone because sometimes I think I'm a jinx. Have fun to those left.

That's the spirit!

That's the spirit!

Thanks Terry, I'm glad that you want Boston to beat up the Devils for our Leafs too. 'cause yep, they are the next team for us. ;)

GO LEAFS GO! :D

SAD

SAD

Well the shock has just about wore off.
Hope others favorites have better luck than the Wings.
Unbeleivable.:(

I think objectively speaking Ann-Marie has a point. The Senators have looked the best to me all year on balance. With the Wings out of it, could be easier for my Avs to advance in the West (I dreaded an Avs-Wings match). Still, Roy and Frosberg have been unbelievable this year, esp lately.

Terry, thanks for asking. Am doing great. Got released four days after surgery. Lucked out with a rare AV repair. Walked 2 miles today. Feeling good altough sleeping is tough. I watch the games and grab my chest every time someone gets checked into the boards.

I have to wait till saturday...

I have to wait till saturday...

for the Flyers to play again, but we are keeping and eye on the competition, Brodeure was just to good last night, but the game was kind-of- flat, not much checking and was there a fight????

We really don't get the west coast games on in the east, just the hi-lights.

Pillarpaul

2 miles, that's great, keep up the good work.
Roy is one of the best goalies. Forsberg is having a great year too!

Well Anne Marie...

Well Anne Marie...

I guess it My Flyers against your Senators,

It's not funny, but for maybe 10 years or more my husband and I have shared playoff tickets with our regular season buddies. This year, we really couldn't spend the extra money, (it takes us a year to save up for season and playoff tickets) My husband needed a new truck and we are still putting out money to finish up our newly remodeled kitchen.

We're hoping they make it to the stanley cup game, but sad that we won't be there.

Terry, my son tell me the first game is friday night. The Sens will be well rested but the Flyers will probably still be riding a high from last night's game. They were awesome!

the play-offs have started, where's the hockey fans???

Can't understand the leafs.....Its been since 1967 ( and believe me I can remember the event..I'm that old!!!) since their last Stanley Cup. Last night they went out like pussycats...disgusting.

I think I am going to become a cricket fan or something more esoteric than being a leaf fan!!

Jackc ( Welland )
until next season when the Leafs will surely win!!!!

ps I am getting depressed thinking about it!!!...and me a heart patient......
